I don't recall seeing the UK, France, Australia or any of the Western powers ever doing this type of parade. At least any with democratic governments.

That's not to say that we couldn't have those type of parades in the future with tanks/PC's that have the 21" chrome rims.
Ooooh! with the spinners that keep turning when the wheels aren't turning. Guess that depends on how everyone votes next yea... this ... next November.

Air bases put on shows, open house events more for entertainment purposes than to make a serious attempt to impress others.

Our parades are when we roll into "host" countries.

Although, when I was a kid, I used to make parades in the dirt with my little plastic army guys, toy planes and GI Joes. Does that count?

It's better to keep your cards close, than tell your opponent what you got. If you are going to get into it with a person, you don't circle each other, scream and make threats. You get in, kick their butt hard and get it over with. It's easier, quicker and less of your own blood. The element of surprise is priceless. The unknown is far more frightening than the known.

Army is nothing, their real strength is their subs which can sneak underneath the best US carrier undetected, or show up in Potomac river then disappear and say 'sorry we messed up our GPS map'. Also they now can shoot down all satellites with ease so if they are really threatened, they can knock down our GPS and spy satellites thus cripple all other CIA overseas operations at the same time. The army parade is just a show for their leadership whose is all too into flamboyant propaganda.

All those tanks don't do them much good unless the enemy comes to them - in China.

They have no way to get any of those tanks to our shores, so no worries.

According to what I have seen in documentary videos, those tanks would also be good for AFRICAN military ops.

And the Chinese are heavily invested in many African countries right now.

They are investing in mining and infrastructure such as concrete and materials for road and bridge construction.

Supposed private Chinese corporations, but the majority of the funds come direct from the Chinese Gov't.

This is were the money goes each time we buy china made stuff in wallmart ...
