Mu husband is a bartender, so he'll be at work all night. He says it's the worst night of the year, because people drink so much they don't really tip well, and the bar stays open all night (instaed of closing at 2), so by 3am, insane amts. of fights break out. Then he still has to stay and work until 6am, regardless of how few customers make it past 3-4. He works his butt off, puts up with tons of crap, and doesn't make much to show for it :( Not to mention he'd rather be home with the kids and I for once. Oh well, cest la vie...

On a offshore derrick barge at the moment. I have been out here for a week and I have another three or so weeks to go. So far I have missed halloween, thanksgiving, christmas, & new years this year... The rate this country is going one day I will wake up and realize I have to spend 360 days a year offshore just so my family can eat. The best part about that scenario is You will still have Obama supporters trying to squeez Me for more.

"White privilege" is the liberal religion's version of Original Sin: you are born guilty, and you carry that burden of guilt all your life, and the only way to escape eternal damnation is for white people confess their sin, to bow, kneel and believe the dogma of the Church of Liberalism, genuflect at its altars, honor its saints, fill the collection plate, and never, ever doubt.
