The silver lining, OWS are the pawns. The tea party in 2007 were a legitimate force. They were the people that live in reality and have a sense of awareness that keeps them two steps ahead of trends. They didn't disappear. And since then, there are more sheep that have been converted. The pawns. Its chess-like, not so simple.

OWS is a joke, I'm sure a lot of them have good intentions and are pissed like the rest of us, but the heart of the movement is part of the progressive agenda. Half of them probably don't even know it. When they go after Obama and his 1% buddies then I'll take them seriously. As for the Tea party, they never shit on cop cars or in the street, they never had one arrest, they picked up their garbage, never hurt cops ect. ect. so don't compare the two.

OWS is a way of suppressing or controlling any dissent. If there was no where for people to direct their anger, people might do things that are out of control of the order - so at least this way the situation is tightly monitored and controlled.

Think of all the sabotage that could take place if people weren't given a forum for their anger at the government. In these economic troubled times if you ignore the people who are left out it could be very costly.

Each group thinks they've got the real insight into the truth. For years we've been deeply polarized and as a result we're at an impasse. Meanwhile others take advantage of the discord to achieve their own goals. That's the thing that most concerns me. We're distracted by our differences, when it's the differences, and our right to dissent that make up a constitutional republic.

Fighting about differences is nonsense. Do you think the Founders all felt one way? Of course not. Each had opinions about the level of spiritual beliefs into the role of politics. Many felt only wealthy landowners should vote as they had invested the most into their country. On the flipside, many had given their wealth during the Revolutionary War to pay for it. Some were wild liberals and other stodgy conservatives, and many despised each other. Still they united in the idea that they were not being given adequate representation, and that they would forever be a colony and not free men if they didn't band together and put aside those differences.

Ignoring the passionate beliefs of any organized group only leads to further dissension.

The only major argument I have with the OWS is that we're a republic. Of course all governmental systems evolve, and that's what's happened. I would put forth that in reality if you spoke with an OWS person, you'd find much more in common with their beliefs, it's how to achieve them that we argue.

Meanwhile the uber-wealthy, (not the hardworking 99% who create wealth, which is all part of capitalism), laugh and laugh at our distraction.

Look, anybody who hangs out all day and holds signs or whatever.... they're not really a threat to anyone. If anything, they're making fools of themselves and that's what the big wigs want.

They'll pretend like those people protesting are shaking the foundations of their order, but in private they're laughing at them. So it's all for not. But if it keeps them OCCUPIED - what the hay?

At least they know where they are, who they are, and they are convenient to round up and arrest. That's why I think the movement is a sham.

While not everyone is on board with the Occupy movement, the majority is discontent with the current system. The police are complaining that society is becoming increasingly rebellious and anti-authoritarian. Advocates of authoritarianism say that this means our culture is "sick" -- they're wrong. This is an awakening.

I'm an individualist anti-authoritarian -- if you want me not to do something, the fact that it's illegal isn't a good enough one. I follow my own code.

I laugh as traditional conservatives such as yourself cry of the "decay" of American culture -- music to my ears. The "decay" is the rise of freedom, the death throes of an outdated system, and the result of an agenda that I have complete sympathy with.
