anyone in south florida see a giant fire ball ufo last night!!!!!!

I saw 2 fly over head last night, I'm west of Atlanta.. definately not aircraft like I know.

I noticed this also last night around 8 I think. A dull orange light moving across the sky. it was about as big as a large star but was moving very slowly across the sky. not flashing like a plane and was too bright to be a space craft like the ISS.

same thing??? I am near Toronto Ontario

ok, I saw those "lanterns" because they flew right over me in Coral Springs but I was in my car somewhere around 12:30am. I'm lucky I didn't hit someone while gawking at them. My first thought is that they were small hot air balloons of some type and I thought they were rather cool. The only thing that bugged me about them is that all weren't moving at the same speed and there was no wind at ground level but they were all moving generally westward which is the general pattern air flow down here. They definitely were way too slow to be meteors or space debris and were not associated with any kind of fireball.

this was something out of this world!

Be very, very careful about suggesting you saw ANYTHING enter the atmosphere from space - you might entice a response from Astromut or TBar about how you are actually seeing a lens flare, created by the lens in your eye. And they can prove it!

I provided the instructions on how to spot them.
You have an eye for it now.
Mark the time, and check periodically.
Typically when one is there, more of them around.

Be patient when observing.
There are other anomalies that give clues to there locations, cloaked or otherwise.
I am not saying they are not "human made" craft, but once one takes the time to see these little orange glows. they will find the other types.
One is like a strobe-ing inch worm, kind of like donuts on a rope.

I have posted similar instructions here and elsewhere, and watched the results. Gen 3 night vision youtube videos increased rapidly.

If you truly saw this and continue to check.
I promise you will not be disappointed.

Lanterns are getting to be popular in FLA
I saw some get launch in NSB, but I a sure you my advice on how to spot real craft, man-made or-otherwise, is true. All you have to do is take the time to look for yourselves.
While enjoy the fresh night are and quite still night, leave those tvs alone and go seek ye the truth.

Oh,
And the obvious is to take notice of planes in your area, how they look and fly in the night sky.
So you can compare with the anomalous craft you will be seeing if you look up and be observant.

saw a turquoises one about a year ago twice in the same spot on different days. large, tourquoise covered. suddenly appeared and disappeared without a sound. It was on a downward trajectory and was very close to the ground, but it just vanished about 1000 feet up

I was standing on my deck in northern Arkansas about 12:40 am last night when a huge green fireball streaked across the sky in the east, finally being obscured by the roof of my house. I don't know if it burned up or continued on. But it was definitely not your average meteorite...

On Dec 31 at approximately 2000 hours myself (Ex law enforcement, officer Military and current Firefighter) and two other witnesses were sitting on the 8th floor balcony facing southeast of the Hampton inn in Cocoa beach. We were watching people shooting of fire works and having fun before the new year. Approximately 4 miles away in a south direction in the area of Patrick Airforce base we observed a bright red/yellow light that appeared to look like a rocket shoot up from the area of the Ocean front (Atlantic). The object at first went up at a 45 degree angle heading west. At first we thought it might be a flair but we noticed the object getting higher in altitude and gaining speed. Living in the Cocoa Beach area and near NASA we have seen all typs of rockets and shuttles lunch. The object we observed made no sound,no military escort witch they normally do have when lunched from NASA. The object continued to gain altitude and head west until it was out of sight. The object hade all indications of a rocket launch but the NASA launch site is 20 miles east of where we observed the object. I contacted Patrick Air Base and they stated they do not launch from there site nore do they launch from the water. We did not have our cameras with us to take a video. From my experience from being in the military and a DOD contract Firefighter, i have observed missile and rocket launches of all typs. What we observed was something i have never seen in my life. there has been no chatter about the object online or in the news as of today Jan 1st 2012. This is my first UFO encounter i have observed.

On new years eve 2011, i was on vacation with family in a condo park. We were traveling on a golf cart at exactly 9pm when i looked up at the sky. I always look at the stars at night, especially here in Florida where they are more visible compared to back home where i live. I pointed out (4 other people) a reddish orange ball of light in the sky. It seemed to be hovering in the sky to the right of orion's belt in the western sky. I then located Jupiter, Mars, Sirius and Betelgeuse, the brightest objects i could think of. This object was none of them. I never took my eyes off of the object. I wanted to know what this thing was. We were traveling north at approx. 10 miles per hour. The object seemed to be moving very slowly to the south. No noise, no aircraft lights. The object looked twice as big as Jupiter does in the sky. I work at an airport and can say for sure that this was not a commercial airplane. It seemed to move very slowly to the south for approx. 20-30 seconds and then dimmed out to nothing, just vanished. There was sea fog in the area at the time, so i dont know if the object vanished into thin air or thick fog. I was very excited to have seen this object. We arrived to our destination about 10 seconds after the object disappeared. We were talking about it and found that another group of people (3) had seen it as well from their golf cart. I have never before seen anything out of the ordinary in the skies. I feel that the object may have been a ufo, since i have found no other explanation. I periodically scanned the night skies until 1am, but never saw the object again. I hope others have seen the same thing to help verify my sighting.
