What are the silver things 'swimming' on my eyes | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 10303850 United States 05/17/2012 02:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'll just start of with one fact. What I am seeing, is not the same as when I 'see stars' from dizziness etc. Quoting: wanny1 I have noticed over the course of 2011, that when I look at a light background, or into the sky, I can see thousands, if not millions of 'bright white particles' on both my eyes. They 'swim' in an erratic fashion. I can focus on a single 'particle' for a few seconds, as it 'swims' across my eye. There is no pain associated. Does anyone have anything similar? They are spermatozoa. Do not be alarmed. Rinse them with Visine or similar product, perhaps a saline solution. But you should use goggles in circumstances that could cause this. |

eclectic mind User ID: 12762865 Australia 05/18/2012 01:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i've seen them all my life, and yes by not focussing on them they will disapear from your vision... but the funny thing is, more and more people are starting to see these things.. some people claim there is a connection between altered states of consciousness and the way floaters look. look up Floco Tausin... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 15245209 United States 05/18/2012 01:59 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | it could be your eyes adjusting to the different background. you should probably get your blood pressure checked... mine is 85/56 (no lie, I tested it in anatomy class 1 or 2 years ago, and just went to the doctor last month. his words were "if you weren't alive right in front of me, I wouldn't believe it myself." xD I noticed that when I looked at the sky, I would see a little silver flash, like a star. and I would always think it was an airplane or something. but it was only one or two at a time. I realized that it was either from sleep depravation, having worn contacts for the first time in six months, or overdose of stimulants xD. (first or second day of new contacts, stayed up for two days, and chugged monster xD.) |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1777124 Albania 06/27/2012 04:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've been seeing these also. But I didn't notice them until the last few months. I call it 'star-dust' and the air is full of them. They zig-zag, race, shoot in all direction, and keep me looking up. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4545733 They are NOT floaters, and since I regularly see an eye specialist I know it's not something wrong with my eyes. When I watch them my spirits are automatically 'lifted' as though I received a burst of energy. But that's not all I'm seeing....along with this, in my peripheral vision I'm seeing dark shapes, like ships, that appear for a fraction of a second and then disappear. They never appear in my direct vision, and they're so fast that I'm unable to shift my eyes fast enough to catch them. at times these dark shapes will take off and I'll think it's a bird, but when I look there is no bird in sight. Anyone else seeing these? Yes. Great post. Its almost as if the energy that surrounds us is manifesting itself. Considering you have checked the eyes to a eye specialist then you can refer to [link to love-eye-floaters.blogspot.com] |

No way to get rid of them, you will just get to where you ignore it and don't really see it. Quoting: Sickandtired 1419023 They're not floaters. I can see floaters at all times if I focus, but to see the 'fish', I have to be looking at a light background. They are completely different to the floaters that I have been aware of since I was a child. The cells on your eyes maybe. Or Ive heard that if you stare at a light or blue sky long enough, you can see the cells moving across your eyes. I am not a anonymous coward. |

Haven't been relaxed enough lately to just gaze and observe, though. Must do that soon...I remember the 1st time I saw it, in Sydney laying back on some huge granite boulders by the seaside. Freaky at first. he who hesitates, misses the parking lot |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 23352699 United States 09/07/2012 01:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know what you are talking about. They are deffinitely not floaters. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1511582 Forgive my analogy, but they are like tiny flecks of swimming sperm, but are extremely fast! And, if you look at the sky, they are everywhere. But, if you look at the treeline, they get much more difficult to see. I've never figured it out OP. Its come up many times. I love how the immediate responses are from people who have no clue what they are talking about, as if they know what you are seeing. "See a neurologist." "They are called floaters." Seeing eye swimmers for first time. Age 60, KC MO. Under alot of stress. Coughed violently and leaned back in my chair looking up at ceiling. I saw what looked like tiny specks moving in random directions with what looked like "boat wake waves" streaming behind them. Floaters tend to move slowly, drifting through the eye fluid, but these specs seemed to be "swimming." Makes me weary of eating sushi! Will explore with doctors. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 28497616 Australia 11/26/2012 01:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I see these sparkly swimming things that your talking about alot. Although...to be honest, seems like I see them more than I used to. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6500436 Last night I kind of saw flashing lights in my room when I went to bed. Sort of like a strobe but not exactly, and more like a pattern of ambient, checkerboard light with holographic patterns in it. It was so intense as to be "pre-hallucinogenic"; it wasn't entirely intense enough to be a hallucination but it was more than what I normally see when, say, I look around at the sky in the afternoons. It was kinda wierd actually. i have also experienced the strobe lights, but only when i was hit in the nerve in my knee by a ball, the pane was intense and i then started seeing the flashing, i thought it was just a chain nerve reaction |
