That's because a profession exists because a need exists. A true useless job would be the most unique job right (the least amount of use exists for it)

A body builder. Yes, that's right, a body builder. Body builders produce ZERO wealth yet consume the most. They are not only useless eaters, they produce the most negative wealth. A banker for instance produces zero wealth, but he doesn't consume 600 grams of protein a day just so he can look sculpted. None of the muscle body builders use goes towards producing any wealth, all muscle is used only for building more muscle! Biggest useless eater ever.

Here's another one. Any professional athlete.

Yes, that's correct too, but body builders take the cake because they consume more than all athletes.

Is Pope considered a profession? If so that would be one of the most useless professions in the world.

I would say the Mexic....er...people who blow cut grass on roads back onto the median, only to have it blow back onto the road after a semi-truck goes by.

The usefulness of the Pope's profession is subjective. Although I have no use for the Pope as I do not believe in Catholicism, if the Pope is able to improve the spirits of people in which they consequently become more productive, then his profession has useful benefit.
