A body builder could actually be vegan, and thus make less impact on earth than a usual meat eater.
In a best case scenario.. the body builder will bring a gal much joy.
Thats more then you can say about the bum.

Well in the Twilight Zone "the state" decided that the job of being a librarian was pretty useless as no one read any books any more. So they decided the librarian was an obsolete man.

I wonder how long that will take to be true, as people can just download a book?

I've been a store greeter before and people look at me with pity or they look at me like I am mentally challenged or something. I have to relieve the greeters when they take their lunch break.

I've had people jokingly say "Don't work too hard," or "I don't want to take your prop," when I offer them a cart. Yeah, most of the time it just looks like I am there to prop the wall up or something.

I do try to smile and greet people, but it does kind of feel foolish and I wonder if I make any difference at all.
The company says greeters create a friendly atmosphere that makes people want to come back, but I don't know.

I don't really like the term useless eater though. I don't know where you are really going with this.

I believe that there are people who are a burden to society, but one can never be sure that these people will always continue to be so.

Also, the sick, old, or mentally challenged can not help being so. If we eliminated all the sick, old, or mentally challenged it would not end there. We'd find we still have differences in belief, differences in skin color, and differences in mental ability. There are also differences in weight and in beauty.


I know there are people in the world who think that way and it is scary to me.

Perhaps we will one day have a society like in the twilight zone episode where it says something like "Number 12 looks just like you."

When we have eliminated all the sick, old, and mentally challenged, then we have to start eliminating the ugly and overweight.

Then once everyone looks decent that still won't be enough because some people will still look a bit plain. Not ugly but just not interesting enough.

Sooner or later mostly everyone would look the same and think the same.

Then we'd be no better off than a bunch of ants.

Then welfare mom wins as they do nothing but spit out 20 kids, each sucking up net wealth and spitting out 20 more kids. Suddenly you have 400 negative wealth producers and several of them will no doubt be bodybuilders.

I would have said professional athletes, too. At least a body builder gives us information on what you body can/will look like when certain moves are taken to extremes. Professional athletes just guzzle booze, screw women, and make a few million for playing a game.

If the powers that be ever determine to start eliminating what they call the useless eaters, I can bet like 99% of everyone you know and most importantly including yourself, would be on that list.

You'd have to have a super genius I.Q, be fluent in many languages and have very little body fat. You'd have to be nearly perfect in beauty with no "defects" whatever that is determined to be.

Of course, they themselves, the elite or the chosen ones or whatever, they will overlook their own faults for the good of mankind. Because of course, whatever their own flaws are can be overlooked, because somehow they have something magical in their blood line or some junk like that.

Anyway, perfection is ever what they decide that day, and you ain't ever going to be it.

If a job is created to give someone a job, and keep them from being homeless, or becoming a criminal, then no profession is "useless".
