Wondering if I unkowingly sold my soul.
So back when I was 21 I joined the Fraternal Order of Eagles. I didn't think much about it because the only reason I joined was for cheap beer but I started recently thinking about the initiation I took when I joined. I guess I'm wondering if I gotten myself into something I don't understand??

Thanks.

I found a website that lists verbatum what you were asked to say during the Initiation Ritual when you joined the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a description of the Initiatory Ceremony.

In the classic, sign on the dotted line sense, no. In the sense that you may bring damnation on yourself for doing that which is not righteous, maybe. That can be remedied.

The easy way to cure that is to just walk away if you feel you're in danger of hellfire or the like.

Controversy
On August 30, 1961, the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Texas presented the State of Texas with a 6-foot-high monolith inscribed with the Ten Commandments, which in 2006 became the subject of a divisive and controversial legal issue (Van Orden v. Perry) that reached the U.S. Supreme Court .[22] The case was ruled 5-4 in favour of the defendant, the State of Texas, and the monument was allowed to remain on the grounds of the State Capitol.

Popular twentieth-century fraternal orders stressed tangible benefits for members and civic benevolence rather than secrecy. Such societies as the Fraternal Order of Eagles (1898, Seattle, by John Cort), the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks (1868, New York, by Charles Vivian), and the Loyal Order of the Moose (1888) became immensely popular because they stressed family social events and public benevolence. In 2000 more than nine million people belonged to one or more American secret or fraternal societies worldwide.

Seems like a decent group. The initiation ceremony probably symbolized death and rebirth as a member - it's a common theme. Christians, among others, are into the 'rebirth' theme.

No worries.

All of the initiative rights and ceremonies of secret societies have occult meanings behind them. As you said, you may not have known what you were doing, but you were initiated nonetheless. To a degree, you are right that it is kind of like selling yourself, for you have given over your allegiance to that group.

The good news is that there is hope for you. But you must separate yourself from such things entirely, otherwise that unseen influence which you, knowingly or unknowingly, have allied with will continue to have 'legal right' to be in your life.

Very few understand the full implications of joining these secret societies and taking part in their initiation rights and ceremonies. This is an occult world we are living in, and most are deceived because groups as these are always veiled with a veneer of 'doing good'.

You may have sold your soul so to speak, but there is One who can buy it back. There is One who has power over all the forces of darkness, no matter how powerful they may appear. His name is Jesus Christ, and He waits for you to approach Him so that He can give you life. hf

"We here are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat of the true and real Antichrist." - Martin Luther (Aug. 18, 1520)

"While God has given ample evidence for faith, He will never remove all excuse for unbelief. All who look for hooks to hang their doubts upon will find them. And those who refuse to accept and obey God's Word until every objection has been removed, and there is no longer an opportunity for doubt, will never come to the light" (The Great Controversy, p. 527).

"Jesus did not come to change the law, but he came to explain it, and that very fact shows that it remains, for there is no need to explain that which is abrogated." - Charles Spurgeon

"Jesuit Adam Weishaupt established the modern version of the Illuminati specifically to be a front organization behind which the Jesuits could hide. After being formally abolished by Pope Clement XIV in 1773, the Jesuits used the Illuminati and other organizations to carry out their operations. For me, an open Bible being placed on the altar flanked by the eagle emblem of the order on one side and the flag of the order on the other side (all equal distance from one another) and the Bible, eagle, and flag being described as occupying separate places of dignity and honor in the order would have made me remove myself from the rest of the proceeding.

That's good news! Even better now that you have these questions and things 'sparking' up in your mind, helping you to become more aware of what people are really doing. Asking questions, searching, and trying to figure things out for yourself is the first step to true freedom.

The more truth we learn about these issues, the more we can help others break off that 'spell' which has settled around them. hf

Thanks, here is the deal.

John:1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Man was made in God's image so man is nothing more than his word. You gave an oath, your "word" but it can be reversed.

You have to go back and think if you made anything...money or otherwise from your association with them. If you did then give it back. Then think if you did harm to anyone because of your association with them. If so then call those people and explain to them what happened and ask for their forgiveness or what it would take for you to make it right.

As long as you hold on to anything that satan gave you in exchange for your word then there is a binding contract. Reverse the harm you might have done and restore your "word" and you restore yourself and break any claim satan has on your soul. I know from experience.

What is the Fraternal Order of Eagles exactly?
 Quoting: Biochemky

It's like a bottom of the barrel launch point for your slow climb up the pyramid of satanically sold out scum.

Your average Eagle is a nobody, and will remain that way. Like so many other "fraternal orders", it's basically a recruiting pool, to filter out those who are "intelligent" enough to sell their soul, and be useful for the cause, and thus make the climb up the ladder, being given more power and prestige along the way.

Lot's of police chiefs, judges, politicians, media figures, people of influence, etc... start out similarly, through the Masonic Lodge, etc...

Take it from somebody who knows this for a fact.

Hope that helps.

You bought it back for me

Somehow you needed me."

It might be simple for you and chop, but I don't get it.

The OP does not know if he sold his soul, doesn't that mean he has no need to be forgiven if he did not?

Is the logic here along the lines of "just in case" ?

Re: Wondering if I unkowingly sold my soul.
Exactly. No one knows, so they made up this thing called a 'soul'. Actually I do know..... we are magical beings.

Magical?

Do tell more.
 Quoting: Open Your Eyes

What is a 'soul' but a magical thing.... or is it a faithing? At some point we have to make a leap of faith, particularly when you ask the questions of..... what are we? How did we come to be? A miracle is a bit of magic. To reconcile magic you need to have faith. Otherwise you will continually try to justify it using limited reasoning.

Re: Wondering if I unkowingly sold my soul.
I don't swear and oath to anything, not even if I was told to swear with my hand on the Holy bible, it is against my beliefs. The bible says not to swear and oath on anything or to anything because only God can do that, he owns the heaven and earth and everything in it. I wouldn't swear to the heavens, on an alter, or even a leader nothing because that is Gods place and not mine.

I have friends, I can gather together with but we don't have to have a secret oath. No secrets for me I don't like them, they are like lying.

Call me weird but that is the way I see it.

God will forgive it if you ask through Jesus Christ and mean it. He want even see that in you at the time of judgment, All sins that you have asked to be forgiven for are not seen or judged. You are clean in Gods eyes after you ask Christ to forgive you but you have to believe in him and his Father first!

I am truthful as best as I can be in all I say even on here.
I find lying one of the worse things a person can do, You can't trust a lair about anything. If a person has lied to me
then they can come to me and tell me about it and say they are sorry, that is the only way, then I will see the truth in their eyes, I'll know if they are being truthful to me.
