IOWA CAUCUS 2012 - Paul, Romney, Santorum Neck in Neck!

Excellent! I've added a link to your long post to the resources post at the beginning of the thread (2nd in thread) - feel free to keep it updated with any changes to the schedule of caucus day events

It tells me that active, informed perticipants; the ones involved in the process more than one day every four years, see problems and notice RP has substance.

It doesn't tell me anything about the uninformed voters bussed to the polls in November and that scares the crap outta me!

Obama had little record, a sketchy past, nefarious aquaintences, (and on and on...)but could sway an audience with his oratory skills on hope 'n change backed by nothing of merit.

That tells me the (majority of) people voting in November are knumbskulls.

The goal in November is to beat P'BO. Is RP that guy? I think RP would be a great Sec. of Treasury! But I don't see his oratory skills swaying those transient voters since they certainly don't look at anything else.

(ps...not looking for an arguement here, just discussion.)

here is a midday report from iowa; major hype around ron paul. at the place i work [55 employees] everyone i have talked to is 1) pumped to go vote 2) voting for ron paul 3) knows where there causus is 4) most everyone else is either not going if they are not for paul. its on folks; landslide from iowa coming tonight. all the traditional republican voters not for paul are apathetic.

what's the timeframe for results? In how many hours may we expect them?

The actual caucusing takes place between 7 and 10 pm Central, I believe. The votes and reports should start to come out then.

Also your name must be on the voter registration roles to vote and if you want to register the day of the caucus you will show a valid picture I.D and provide proof of residence.
