Santorum took home wife's dead 20 week old fetus from the hospital, forced his kids to hold, KISS, talk and sing to it, then took family photos!

OP, now be honest, are you or are you not in favor of a woman's right to choose abortion?

In favor.

Astromut,

Pro abortionists think babies are some disgusting little blobs of tissue that should be in the waste basket .

So normally a couple that wants to pay last respects to their dead child would be disgusting to them
 Quoting: Apollo Illuminaughty

Not at all. I would be equally appalled if they brought home a dead 2 year old for their young children to kiss, cuddle with and sing to.

I am not discriminating against this child because of its 20 weeks of age. In fact, you people are. Because I am sure most of you would find it weird to do that with a 2 year old, but don't find it weird to do with a 20 week old.

This is fucking disgusting; truly sick and perverted. If i knew ANYONE that took family photos with their dead baby and forced their other offspring to sing to it, I would either end the friendship or if they were a really good friend, throw a swift punch to their face.

This is fucked.

my BABY, my SON, died inside of me at 37 weeks old.
his name was henry.
thank god there are caring people out there in the world who take photos of your deceased child on a volunteer basis.

[link to www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org]

because you know when your CHILD, whatever stage of growth they be at, is going to die, it is nice to have SOMETHING of them. a photo. ANYTHING. because that is all you will EVER get. and god knows when this happens the last you you can think about is a camera. so hospitals and volunteers do this service for you.

anyone who has lost a child knows this.
we did not have our daughters hold their BABY BROTHER because they were too young to understand what death was.

but this is what is so wrong with the world.
we have soldiers blowing up puppies, beating up animals, killing and raping their own because they don't know how to cope. and then we have this world who cannot even DEAL with the fact that a "fetus" IS a baby. a fetus is a baby human just as much as a child is a human. it makes no difference what stage of development he or she is at. we are ALL at different dtages of development even now.

you public cannot get enough with your violent video games and blowing everything up as big as possible.
exploding heads in slow motion and you lick it all up with glee.

you're all so disconnected from death AND life you don't even know what life or death is anymore.

i am not for this santorum guy. but every grieves in their OWN way. you have no right to judge when someone loses a child.

it's their CHILD.

grow the fuck up people and step away from your W.O.W. and wake up to the real world full of people who die and the people who LOVE those people who die no matter what stage of development they are at or what the state of their bodies at death.
these are LOVED beings.

every family has the RIGHT to love their family how they choose.

and until you've held your own child in your hands that you have just delivered and carried for months and months in your womb then STFU.

life is life. and family is FAMILY.

it isn't a celebration of life it's a celebration of how delicte the balance of life IS. and how our days are all numbered.

god, this whole thread makes me want to throw up and cry.

and i'm sure some sick freak is going to give ME negative karma just for saying this. like *I* am the sick freak for saying LOOK HERE IT IS. THIS IS LIFE, THIS IS DEATH.
REAL LIFE
REAL DEATH

not some fucking movie or video game.

so wake up, please for the love of the universe, wake up.
we all all soon be up to our necks in death.

this is life. life is awkward. life doesn't let things be graceful and perfect sometimes. sometimes life is crazy.
someday you may be holding your brother's freshly blown off head in your lap and weeping and kissing it. you never know. you never know until you are THERE face to face with your loved ones in the state of death.

don't you dare judge the grieving.

peace be with you.
Quoting: Pink Cat with a Telephone Hat

and p.s.
some people choose to give birth at home or die at home.
for god's sake you all live in some crazy sanitized world that has made you so disconnected from realness.

many people don't BRING their babies home or BRING someone who has died gome BACK from the "sanitized place" from where they died.
now what is this, we are not even supposed to bring home the adults who have died to "home" to let our children see for fear it'll make scar them?
THIS is what happens if you DON'T you get these generations of violence obsessed creepazoids who can't wait to blow up everything as fast and as bloody as possible for a game point.
ut what we are not even supposed to LOOK at the dead now?
maybe all the soldiers that die in wars we should just leave there, i mean why even fly them "home" how sick is THAT? why on earth would any family want a ox of BODY parts?
surely that isn't a "human" anymore.
or part of the family that deserves respect and a decent burial and for the family to go through the GRIEVING PROCESS.

this is why we have soldiers blowing the crap out of animals and people because everyone has gotten so screwed up.
yes, i forgot we got to the MOVIES to see things die in all the ways possibly, in grizzly digital high definition slow motion. murderous disgusting scenes you PAY for.
THAT is sick.

and then trying to tie this somehow into cannabalism and honour killings and wtf? that is RIDICULOUS.

omg.

What bothers me more from the article the OP quoted from is this:

"The issue came up again the following spring. Santorum, a Pennsylvania Republican, appeared on the Senate floor with oversize illustrations of fetuses in various stages of delivery. He described the process by which a physician "brutally kills" a child "by thrusting a pair of scissors into the back of its skull and suctioning its brains out." He asked that a 5-year-old girl be admitted to the visitors' gallery, though Senate rules forbid children under 6. "She is very interested in the subject," Santorum said, explaining that the girl's mother had been a candidate for a late-term abortion when doctors advised her during her pregnancy that the child was unlikely to survive.

Sen. Barbara Boxer objected, saying it would be "rather exploitive to have a child present in the gallery" during such a debate. Santorum relented, bemoaning Boxer's objection as proof that "we have coarsened the comity of this place."

Grief for the death of a child at ANY age is awful....I know first hand, and my heart goes out to all who have experienced it. Everyone deals differently.

But, re-read the paragraph quoted from the article above, please.
Why would Santorum want to invite a 5 year old to view discussion and/or illustrations of fetuses in the visitors gallery of the Senate?
Am I reading it wrong?

People grieve in different ways. As another poster mention, I probably would not have done this, but then again I have never lost a child (Thank God) so I don't know.

As for the comments about taking pictures of the dead, I can't remember going to any funeral WITHOUT seeing someone taking pictures.

When my mom died, several family members took pictures. I guess I didn't find it weird because I'd seen this growing up. Been to several funerals. I believe my first one was at the age of four.

Like I said, everyone grieves differently.

What the fuck are you talking about, crazy man.

I've never aborted - matter of fact - I fought adults not to abort when I was a teen. I had my baby.

Porn is not my war, evidently it is yours.

I fought for a kid, had him, raised him and he died - I didn't take dead pics of him - stay on topic, freak.

And BTW, there is a huge difference between open casket funerals and bringing home dead bodies wtf

Are you really that dense??

I don't see it as perverted, insane, or gross. People deal with death in many odd ways. I've known lots of mothers that took photos of their deceased children. They held their babies and sang to them for many hours after their deaths. Anyone who has lost a child knows what its like, and we can be blinded by grief. Hey, dont put down another culture. Youve seen here that it was Victorian Era tradition as well to do the same thing.

Seems like were a more sick society now, glamorizing death instead of seeing truth, Why keep the kids away from truth?

When a squirrel got fried on our electric line, I called all the kids to come see it as I held it up. And told them what death was since theyve never seen death beyond a steak or chicken leg.

Cant keep your kids shielded from death, its a fact of life.

Its violent movies and horror movies that should be banned cause it teaches nothing but glamorizing death

And btw , you treated the dead child disrespectful. you called it DEAD KID

It was their child , their sibling.

absolutely. this is the problem.

everyone grieves in their own way. very true.

but it's the exposure to their children, that is the problem. children are NOT capable of dealing with such a highly emotional situation. those who think they are know nothing of dealing with children in real life situations, not textbook or theory.

it's emotionally traumatic for a mature adult, and simply too much to deal with, for a child.

the loss of their sibling could have been (and should have been) explained to the children. one does not need to have a child hold another dead child to provide understanding of the sanctity of human life.

i am anti abortion, btw.

Re: Santorum took home wife's dead 20 week old fetus from the hospital, forced his kids to hold, KISS, talk and sing to it, then took family photos!
Youre the one that keeps talking about porn, and bringing it up. You typed it out more than I did,

lol

Why dont you lay off, cause youre after my porn comment now at stalker level. Chill out lady.

I have never been to a memorial service where family members were cuddling with the dead and taking pictures of themselves holding the dead. I have never been to a memorial service where family members were taking pictures of themselves posed next to the dead.

I have never been to a memorial service when anyone was taking pictures. Maybe you are thinking of the reception?

I never mentioned cuddling or holding. And, I'm talking about during the actual viewing. No one was "posing" with the deceased but they were snapping pictures either from the chairs or once they were standing next to the casket.

And if I may, I've never seen anyone display these photos either. They're usually kept in some sort of keepsake box or something.

My grandmother has some of my grandfather.

For what is's worth..I think the "elite" are a sick group and every once in awhile we get just a little peek at what that sickness is and what it's all about. No one I know thinks like that..thank heavens! Nothing wrong with grief but having a sick little orgy with minor children involved is a whole different level. REPTOIDS SOUL LESS CREEPY POWER_MAD FREAKS!

Thank you for your clarification.

I was trying to demonstrate how what you are talking about, is much different than what Santorum did.

OP they lost a baby not a foetus! A baby up to 10 weeks would be described as a foetus! At 20 weeks it's a baby!

Just read the article and it's not as bad as your title suggests! They said goodbye in their own way!
 Quoting: Embabe25

Jesus I have to school one moron about his use of literary devices and now another on science.

The fetal stage begins at the start of the 9th week of pregnancy... until you have a live, thriving baby that is ABLE TO SUSTAIN LIFE ON ITS OWN, you have a fetus.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8185968

Walk through the neonatal intensive care unit sometime. Whole lot of "fetuses" in there that aren't yet able to sustain life on their own.
