As far as chemicals related to "calming", yes, I can say that the ones we developed were proven to work on rats, and in one case, pigs. Here again, I'm confused. 17 years of research and only one successful project? Which is made even more odd by the fact that there were already so many calming drugs available to the populace already, ie... mama's little pill. The memory affecting agents I found interesting, particularly with early onset alzheimers becoming more prevalant than ever. |

Others, nearly the entire lifetime of the test animal. All tests were conducted using aerosol dispersion of the mixture, as this is how it would be deployed in the field. Fatal effects were common. If these fatal effects were too common, despite attempts to rectify these effects, the project would be declared a failure. Yes, our first route following fatal trials would be to decrease dosage and observe whether we still obtained the desired effects without the previous levels of fatality. Monkeys were tested, too. Maybe not to your knowledge, maybe not at your facility, but they were. Fort Meade, MD. Many floors underground. |

I can't talk about it with family and friends - they think I am making some sort of "mad scientist" joke and laugh it off. None of them have ever taken me seriously when I try to explain the details of my career. I was just a research chemist as far as they are concerned. Just started reading this thread. This response by OP seems 'off'. Lots of people are interested in what their family members do at work. My own dad asks me so much about my work it's almost annoying. My husband builds aircraft and comes homes and tells me about it all the time. I find it hard to believe family members weren't interested in what type of projects you were working on, especially with regards to chemical engineering. That said, weather modification is absolutely a reality and I know this from experience. I lived at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD (army base) and was off base in the city of Aberdeen at a friend's house. The year was probably 1982, a hot summer day. We were hanging outside by her pool and snow began to fall. Big white flakes came out of the sky and melted as they hit the ground. Lasted no more than three to five minutes. True story. First Para.. OMG.... Are for real? As if everyone thinks like you and your family? No.. They don't! |
