I've come into contact with 2 of these chemicals, they were detected mainly through smell. The first one being last June (2011). I began to notice for a short period of time a chemical with a very alien, organic odor. The best way for me to describe it would be like sour watermelon, although much more alarming and unpleasant then that. I noticed it in food, cigarettes, air conditioning etc. Upon inhalation it seemed to have an anxiety-inducing effect, along with sensory distortions. Such as pulsating colors when I closed my eyes or loud bangs/flashes.

(This substance also seemed to be secreted through the skin of weird, monster-like extra-terrestrial creatures. That would jump on top of me and terrify me in my sleep and for a short period of time in July. It was so traumatic that I can not fully remember the experience. They were large, usually black, amorphous, and would flail their bodies around rhythmically. Screaming and making weird, horrifying sounds. This unrelated commercial reminds me of them a bit, as stupid as it seems, lol. You'd have to had experienced it to see the resemblance. It was definitely some form of a panicogen.

The second incidence being earlier this year, in January, starting on the 9th, I began to smell a strong, unnatural, disturbing metallic smell. It was perceptible in food, water, air etc. This had a different effect, I began to feel dissociated and very anxious/confused. Short-term memory loss, difficulty imagining multiple things at once (4 roads going in one direction, multiple numbers etc.) Just a general dysphoria and confusion. It's peak effects lasted about a week or two and slowly faded, along with my ability to smell it.

It was mainly noticeable in foods like salad, vegetables etc. Other people also remarked smelling it and were also very anxious/disoriented. I haven't felt the same since it first happened.

I understand you retired years ago and these might've been developed since then, but does this sound familiar to you at all?

Do you think you could recognize these chemicals.
