Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7175834 Where did the hologram end and the real object come to exist? Real objects? What do you mean? A better question: If a hologram can be real enough to project a hologram, can it be real enough to project a hologram of a hologram real enough to project a third order hologoram? And how long have we been playing this game? When does an object go from being holographic to being real? If you can see it and feel it - does it not exist? It exists only as mush as your perceptions define that it exists. If the object fits and fulfills the limitations and conditions of your mind then it is reality. Yes, a hologram would be able to project a hologram, but you would be perceiving a hologram from within a hologram and therefore perceive it under the limitations and conditions of the hologram that would then define your perception. |

Meyerson says someday a phone's vibration feature and a series of thousands of tiny pins driven by motors could be used to replicate the textures of certain fabrics and embroidery to allow people to "touch" their clothes before they order them online. "They could be heated individually to give you the sensation of friction, you could compare different fabrics in terms of roughness," he says. "The progress there is pretty amazing." Holographic image projected = visual perception of object in space + proprioceptive feedback (via mechanical motors) stimulating touch of object in space You are seeing it and touching it, how real is it? Are you real??? |

Physicist Stephen Hawkin admitted we don't know why, maybe -he wrote- due to gravity. Unfortunately we don't know EITHER what's gravity. Nobody ever saw "grávitons" or know what is gravity made of of. We can measure something interpreted as gravity force while Einstein's model is that gravity is just an illusion created by the deformation of space because of the mass of a planet or star. Unfortunately that slips through our hands like sand because WE ALSO IGNORE what is space made of! We are creating things from the very knowledge we currenty have. If scientists can't see in their minds... let's say a 5th or 4th dimension, they couldn't mimic or duplicate that, would they? So, what Japanese are doing is mimic what we see and touch and not the ultimate reality. It's like setting satelites and telescopes close to earth's neighborhood and with naïve thought imagining we can really see and hear the whole expanding universe! Can you imagine an inteligente ant putting a telescope near the garden where it dwells in Memphis and thinking its telescope is big and powerful enough to detect whatever alien life thousands of fathoms beneath the ocean in Austrália? Ridiculous and arrogant, isn't it?????? |
