Woman scratches and rubs her but over $30 million dollar painting~!!! WOOT!!! Even Fiat Art is Losing its Grip!
[link to www.nbclosangeles.com]

"A Colorado woman dropped her pants at a museum and rubbed her rear end all over a painting valued at $30 million, according to police.

Carmen Tisch, 36, was arrested after scratching, punching and, well, rubbing her butt against Clyfford Still's "1957-J no.2" and causing an estimated $10,000 damage to the artwork at the Clyfford Still Museum in Denver. Police believe she was drunk during the late December incident. (supra)"

The oil-on-canvas abstract expressionist painting was spared additional damage when the woman tried to urinate on it but apparently missed.

I am convinced that art collections are a very good way to launder money... ever wonder why so many CIA agents distribute art around the world? First, they get to put whatever value they want on the art, and secondly they get to freight stuff all over the world in extra-ordinary packages that things can easily be smuggled into other countries.

So here is my take:

1) some artists are just damn lucky - but many actually help other people launder money
2) the appraiser of these paintings is no doubt an insider
3) the packaging and delivery of these items across borders is perfect for smuggling
4) art can also be used in espionage as a way of communicating openly in public
5) art appraisal is like central banks printing money out of thin air. mind you getting the license to do so doesn't come from just anybody..
6) making worthless art valuable and selling it to rich idiots is also a very good way to fund black/covert budgets across messy borders
7) even if an artist produces something of great value, it is probably not unheard of that they get "owned" and "used" by intelligence agencies that establish their profile and net worth to help fund their projects.

In current popular tv "programming" the following things may be found:

1. Anny works at the Smithsonian and helps deliever art all over the world. Yet her main job is with the CIA as a spy. This show is called "covert affairs" and is shown on the channel Showcase.

2. There is another one where the main character of the TV program in "Burn Notice" on Showcase, also describes spies as people who generally often work for antiquities and/or art dealers. its just an easy way to smuggle crap around the world across border, as it is described.. don't remember the episode..

like i said, i watch too much tv

Re: Woman scratches and rubs her but over $30 million dollar painting~!!! WOOT!!! Even Fiat Art is Losing its Grip!
I am not saying that the painting the woman wiped her but across had anything to do with the terrorist funding, espionage, intelligence communities, or money laundering.

What I am saying is that the entire ethos built around the art community today, which is so cheap as to be able to stare at someone else's shit (literally), has been in part greatly funded, exported and imported, rehypothicated endlessly, and cheapened by this viral epidemic of "fiat art."

I could write a thesis on it except that I'm not a student LOL...

AND I'D PROBABLY BE KILLED FOR SAYING TOO MUCH

"what you didn't like my paintings?" (pow, pow, pow, pow)....

"you clearly have no taste," .. "just because your employer is about to sink like the titanic doesn't mean you have to take it down on me..." i yell

"ack... there is another cold war coming at the very least, and your not going to destroy my resume for when things get way too polarized.." (pow, pow, pow....)

Members of a sports team, eating early before a game, turned a piece of modern art upside down, in my college's cafeteria. It was hanging on the wall.

I left the place two years later and no one had noticed yet.

This will give you a real look at what is driving the "art world", and why much of what is passed for "art" is really crap.

[link to www.theoccidentalobserver.net]

And the actions of the woman trying to pee on Clifford Stills' painting might even be considered 'Conceptual Art', by some critics.

It might not be a bad 'defense' at her trial, if she claims she is an artist and was 'interacting with Still's painting in some artistic and personal manner.

[link to www.theoccidentalobserver.net]

click that and you will have an inside look at the "thinking" of the people behind what is called art these days.

It is one of the most interesting articles I ever read about this subject.

Why would the museum let a drunk person in there around expensive paintings? Why wasn't the painting more secured? Where was security? Bunch of idiots.

Not only that but she had tattoos all over body and she said she was offended by the painting.
