while i believe they are scared for their jobs if RP becomes potus, its not because they are linked to any military machine as the OP trys to convey.

Its because they are MSM, and RP wont be like the current potus, who desires to be in front of a camera more than behind the desk.

Of course the MSM loves a president tthat loves the attention. The amount of them required will go way down when there is a humble person in the whitehouse, not a ego centric socialist.
