Video interview - Mitt Romney justifies why it was okay to strap his dog in a kennel to the roof of his car for a 12 hour drive
Romney shows no remorse and claims that his dog would climb onto the car and into the kennel all on his own because he "loved it." Romney also justifies that it was okay for the dog to travel 12 hours on the roof of the car because the kennel was "airtight." Fox news interview with Romney: [link to youtu.be]

He's a liar too.

In your link he says that the kennel was airtight.

In this link he says his dog liked the fresh air. [link to youtu.be]

I actually have to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.... wouldn't vote for him though.

Dogs ride in the back of pickups all the time, they stick their head out of the window.. The devil is in details, in good weather I am not beyond imagining that the dog in question actually does enjoy this...

But this was for a 12 hour trip--not a ride down to get an ice cream cone at the local Tasty Freeze.

He has more ridiculous ideas than strapping a dog to a car for 12 hours, as idiotic as that is in itself.

Someone who would do that in a movie would be portrayed as a total idiot.

Chevy Chase Christmas vacation kind of stupid.

But then again this is Idiocracy.

Guess what. It's here, it's real.

Idiocracy has arrived, and you are living it.

There is an easy way for him to remedy this. All he needs to do is ride around on the top of a car for 12 hours, equipped with video and microphones so he can convey how enjoyable the experience is.

There's a not so subtle attempt here to try to equate dogs - and animals, generally - with human beings as being one and the same in their experience of life.

Humans are being coaxed to project their own emotional, experiential senses onto other beings so that animals 'become' human beings in the minds of the human idiot.

It's no suprise to see that, as this progresses in the world of formless 'animal lovers', animals are not miraculously turning into human beings - but human beings turning into animals. Of course, this is really an insult to animals since their own growth up the 'totem pole' is being subverted by 'human' regression.

The growing popularization of beatiality in overt and subtle forms, 'human'-'animal' marriage', cartoons of talking animals, and all other degenerate displays of human regression are the norm in many places, today.

The dog was just fine. The only real danger was whether or not the kennel was tied down well enough so that it didn't fly off the roof.

Distress? Excitement? Exhilaration? You have NO IDEA what the dog was 'feeling' on the ride.

The rush of adreneline at high speeds can typically cause the release of bodily fluids. This happens all the time on amusement park rides. I don't see you starting threads castigating people pissing, shitting, and vomiting on the tilt -a -whirl.

Oh, people make a 'conscious' choice to get on a ride, is that it? The poor dog didn't make a 'conscious' choice? Sure he did.

If a dog doesn't want to do something or put himself in an uncomfotable position where he feels his life is in danger or will experience undue 'distress' as he sees it, he would let you know - by attacking you viciously.

Were the Romney's viciously attacked when they tried to put the dog in the kennel? No.

You are a shining exmaple of human regression. Maybe it will be you in the kennel on the roof in your next life as you slip down the ladder of life....

If you 'identify' with animals and their 'emotional state' as you perceive it to be so much, perhaps you belong in a zoo?

Oh wait, you already are in one - tailor-made for 'human' animals.

You've surely seen someone walking their dog, and their dog is forced to take a shit right along a busy sidewalk. Ever notice the dog's expression? It looks embarrassed and ashamed. Because it is.

You can't force a dog to do anything he doesn't want to. You are overestimating your control over other beings. You'll learn this lesson the hard way.

Just last week my neighbor's dog called up the vet and said "How soon can you make me an appointment? I'd really love to have my balls chopped off"

Re: Video interview - Mitt Romney justifies why it was okay to strap his dog in a kennel to the roof of his car for a 12 hour drive
I don't see what the big deal is...unless it's just another smear campaign by sick-minded individuals.

I know a guy who takes his dog on cross-country motorcycle trips...the dog loves the fresh air and freedom.

Play fair, if you have to play games!
