Be weary of complimentary mouthwash provided in hotel rooms!
As I was leaving a Hampton Inn in VA recently I noticed the housekeeping cart parked in the hallway. On that cart I saw what WAS a LARGE bottle of blue mouthwash on the cart. Now, that caught my eye because I couldn't figure out any other reason to have a bottle of mouthwash that large on a housekeeping cart if they wern't using it to refill the tiny bottles they give you in the room. I can't say for sure that is what they are doing, but from now on I will be certain that the tamper strip has not been broken. Sometimes those complimentary bottles don't come with tamper tapes which is very concerning!!!!!!! I just wanted to share my experience and give everyone the heads up on possible unsanitary refilling could be happening!

I wouldn't be using mouthwash anyway; fluoride and Aspartame.

Yup.
Just a glass of water with some lemon works fine too.

Wouldn't the antiseptic itself sterilize the bottle? I mean it's gross and I wouldn't use it without the safety strip, but technically it would be safe.

oh my holy hell!

OP -- I am sure this is exactly what all if not at least most or some do. I travel a lot, and I bring my own toiletries. I do not use the hotels. It is not only what you mention about the mouthwash, but also the quality of their shampoos etc.... never matches what it says it is on the outside of the bottle.... conditioner is always watered down yech.

gosh who knows what they are doing to the soap.

You may be right, but the bottle was shaped like a mouthwaash bottle instead of a glass cleaner bottle. Lets hope you are right and it was just glass cleaner!

I always suggest taking the ice bucket bag and putting the remote to the tv in it prior to use. You can imagine what a lonely business traveler might do in the room. Do you think they jump up and wash their hands? Even if you sanitize that remote, you could never get down in between those keys. Not to mention the coffee maker in the bathroom? Hotels are gross!

The Truth About Thread: The FINAL EVENTS Of Bible Prophecy

"We here are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat of the true and real Antichrist." - Martin Luther (Aug. 18, 1520)

"While God has given ample evidence for faith, He will never remove all excuse for unbelief. All who look for hooks to hang their doubts upon will find them. And those who refuse to accept and obey God's Word until every objection has been removed, and there is no longer an opportunity for doubt, will never come to the light" (The Great Controversy, p. 527).

"Jesus did not come to change the law, but he came to explain it, and that very fact shows that it remains, for there is no need to explain that which is abrogated." - Charles Spurgeon

"Jesuit Adam Weishaupt established the modern version of the Illuminati specifically to be a front organization behind which the Jesuits could hide. After being formally abolished by Pope Clement XIV in 1773, the Jesuits used the Illuminati and other organizations to carry out their operations. Thus, the front organizations would be blamed for the trouble caused by the Jesuits."
