Glpers in Sydney Australia.
Hey everyone.
Me and hubby want to go to sydney for a week holiday. I have been there once for 1 day and didn't even see the Opera house. Really want to see it before TSHTF.
We are both about 50years old. Very open minded, relaxed and down to earth. Imagine Dharma's parents on Dharma and Greg but more country. Hubby is still asleep but he is heaps of fun to be around.
We on a tight budget so any hints on cheap clean acommodation would be good.
We wont be driving in Sydney--Fuck that.
So somewhere close to it all would be excellent.
Love to meet some of you.

We already checked out caravan parks but they are anywhere between $80 and $150. Nice hotels in city can be only $100 on wotif. We were hoping to get a 2 bedroom apartment cause I snore really really bad.

Did not enjoy Lithgow. First time I saw real frost there. My god that was horrific. Left the washing on the line and it froze stiff. Coming from Far NQ that was real freaky.
Not interested in gowing back there.

Re: Glpers in Sydney Australia.
After you check out The Opera-House
(to the right of circular quay)

You will be close to the Harbor Grab a Fiery ride to Manly Beach afterwards, very pleasant trip with chance of seeing Dolphins on Sunny-days.

Or you get a Bus to Bondi-Beach across the road from the Harbor (circular quay)

At bondi Beach if you walk around to the right of it, the beaches get nicer and nicer further away from Bondi(tourist trap place)

There are cheap accommodations on George Street of TownHall/Central(its noisy) close to cheap eats chinatown & markets in reading centre

From Central You can Get a Train to the Blue Mountains or Southern Suburbs, Western , North Sydney or Eastern
(bondi junction, can get bus to Vaucluse/Watsons Bay Area check out how the 1% live or to Bondi for $11 small chips)

From Town Hall walking past Hyde park There's the Museum.........

in the direction of Kings-Cross If you want to see Hookers and get tattoo's of your experience in Sydney If you like that kinda thing ;)

I live in the lower blue mountains, and I visit the city regularly. If I stay overnight I always stay in The Rocks. The hotels I usually stay in are The Four Seasons or The Sangri La, which could set you back a couple of hundred a night. There are always cheaper hotels though. I highly recommend you stay near the Rocks. It's close to the water, you can catch a water taxi to wherever you want to go, the restaurants are awesome and The Rocks markets are a must.

Hiya tassie

Just just an off the wall thought..

Maybe there might be someone in sydney who would be interested in doing a holiday exchange with you..

I mean you stay with them and then they come and stay with you. I realise that would mean you would both have to have a bach or caravan, but hey, just an idea.

Or you could get to know and trust each other by phone and email and swap at the same time..

Just putting it out there...

LOL> No one want to stay here. We live as the americans say "off the grid". No flush toilet, we have a a long drop out the back. We have solar power and small hydro unit in the creek. Our water comes straight out of the creek. Taste excellent but sometimes you get leaves and worms and stuff.
We cook on slow combustion and it heats water for bath also.
Yeah I know it sounds nice but it is a bit rough, and hard work to be here. But it is amazing, serene and beautiful.
We friendly with the wildlife and feed them so get lots of animals here at the house.Love them except when they get into my strawberries.

Re: Glpers in Sydney Australia.
yea it is amazing here. some people tried to have a bed and breakfast thing here and were making $300 a night. But they had to give up cause people kept getting lost and were just hopeless.
We would have to pay someone to stay here. We travel around tassie a bit cause I love staying at nice places with electricity and flush toilet.Flush toilets are sooooooo posh. But we usually take our own water. After drinking real water, the tap water from town is like drinking bleach. You can taste the chemicals, and it is amazing how clean we are after the first town shower. It is a bit like acid, you come all pink and shiny, and even freckles are faded. Maybe bit of exageration, but really the water is poison. Don't drink it unless you really have to.
