In a patriarchal society the eldest male is the supreme authority. Everything is deemed to descend from the father.
However when one gets a woman pregant she becomes fat. Hence the term FAT - HER father.

If I can throw one wrinkle into this thought, I would say that the future will be more smart versus stupid than female versus male. Smart people are able to see past gender, the rest will be left to argue and find their roles. Perhaps wishful thinking, but it only seems natural that the cream eventually is allowed to rise to the top, regardless of gender.
