[link to www.blueletterbible.org] Love for God gives birth to faith. Jesus looked up to heaven and knew that God wanted to heal this man and so He SAID "Be opened!" In the beginning God SAID, "let there be light." And there was light. Then he SAID "Let the waters gather together into one place and let the dry land appear." Again, what God said happened! And then God SAID, "Let the earth bring forth grass, and the fruit tree yielding fruit." Again, whatever God spoke out in faith...happened! Have you ever wondered why God SAID these things? God believed that whatever he spoke without doubt would come to pass. Jesus was the same way. Jesus said, "Be healed" and the person was healed. Jesus believed that what he SAID would come to pass. In Mark 11 Jesus went up to a fig tree to look for some fruit. He did not find any. "Never again will anyone eat the fruit from this tree," Jesus said. The next day the disciples noticed that the tree had dried up down to its roots. They were amazed. Jesus said, have faith in God; If you have faith in God and refuse to doubt you will tell this mountain 'get up' and 'jump into the sea' and it will obey you." "If you have faith, Everything you ask for in prayer will be given to you." We are God's children now. Jesus said that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed we can move mountains. Do we believe him? Faith comes be hearing and hearing by the word of God. As we spend time in Scripture with the Holy Spirit and hearing the word of God preached it builds up our faith. Just like our brother Jesus and our Father God, if we believe and speak it out in the name of Jesus, what we said will come to pass. The apostle Peter understood the awesome power in the name of Jesus as demonstrated in Acts 3:6. When a man begged somthing from him Peter SAID "in the Name of Jesus stand up and walk." Peter then acted upon his confession of faith by grabbing the mans hand and helping him to his feet. That is the God kind of faith. Complete confidence that what he SAID would come to pass. Have you noticed that miracles only happen now "in the name of Jesus." God does this to confirm that Jesus is his only son as the gospels reveal. We have never heard of these supernatural miracles taking place in the name of Mohammed, or Budda, or Confuscius or any other name. These miracles only happen in the name of Jesus because God wants us to understand that Jesus died for our sin thereby making a way of salvation to all who have the faith and love to believe. In Acts 14 Paul showed that same kind of faith. In verse three we read the Lord confirmed that Paul's "message about His great kindness was true." There was a man sitting there [v. 8] who was born with crippled feet. So Paul "looked straight at the man and SHOUTED, stand up." The man then jumped up and started to walk around. Again, Paul spoke out, not doubting, what he believed was possible in Christ and the miracle took place. This miracle was not only a confirmation that Jesus is the only son of God but also confirmed the wonderful things Paul was saying about God's kindness. Paul showed the God kind of faith! Jesus' mom also showed the God kind of faith in Luke 1. Here an angel appears to her and tells her she is very blessed because the Lord is with her. The angel tells her that "the Holy Spirit and God's power will overshadow you so that the child will be called the Son of God." Mary SAID, "I am the Lord's servant; let it happen as you have said!" And, as described in Scripture, through the power of God [i.e., not knowing a man, Mary conceived Jesus Christ, the Son of God.] That is the God kind of faith. Mary went on to SAY that "From now on all people will say that God has blessed me." And here we are over two thousand years later talking about the faith of this chosen vessel. Mary SAID what would happen to her and the miracle took place because she had faith in the power of God! I think I should conclude this section on having the God kind of faith with the beloved King David. Long before David became King he chose to encounter Goliath. David found out Goliath was challenging Saul's army. David was outraged that anyone should speak against "the army of the living God." Accordingly, David TOLD Saul that the same God who delivered him out of the paw of both the bear and the lion would deliver him out of the hand of this uncircumcised Philistine. David knew the power of God and knew that God was with him. David approched Goliath and SAID, "You come against me with sword, shield, and spear but I come against you in the name of the Lord of Hosts... This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands and I will kill you and I will take your head from you that everyone on earth may know that there is a God in Israel." David ran towards the battle line and to this day we know the outcome. When David spoke out in faith, what he SAID came to pass - not for his glory but so that "all the earth" may know the God of Israel. That is the God kind of faith! If you are a born again believer in God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - you too have faith. Yes, YOU!!! I believe that as you reflect and read about God's friends in Scripture your faith will be nourished too. Your faith will grow and you will act upon this word in Jesus name. Love God and have the God kind of faith! |

[link to www.blueletterbible.org] Jesus was an extemely deep person of prayer. There are as many ways to pray as there are people on Earth. How do you like to pray? When do you like to pray? Where do you like to pray? It is all good to God! Pray, Pray, Pray... Many different kinds of prayer are mentioned in Scripture. 1. Prayer is talking to God. When the Apostles turned to Jesus and said, “Lord, teach us to pray,” that was a prayer. The Apostles petitioned Jesus for something they were in need of. 2. Prayer is not only talking to God but can also involve a remembering of something important that God said. In the above example Jesus said, “When you pray say this: Our Father who are in heaven holy is your name. Your kingdom come your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen." We must insure that our prayer is sincere and from the heart. Jesus said that if you multiply your words “on the street corner” simply to be heard then your prayer will not be heard. But if you say these words as a petition or meditation so as to make them a request that is part of your heart and soul, then God - i believe - will surely hear you. 3. Some people like to completely empty themselves of every thought as a prayer. They seek to become completely blank. It is said that when you empty yourself of you then there is where you will find Jesus. I have frequently found this to be true as part of my prayer. Others call this the “listening” part of their prayer time. 4. Some are given the gift of tongues. Tongues can come in the human variety or, if God wills, one may speak out in an angelic tongue. Both will build up your spirit – as the other forms of prayer – to better image and serve like God. 5. Some Christians like to sing as part of their prayer. Whether it be a published song or one you just made up it is all good to God. Prayer is heard by God when it comes from a sincere heart. The kind of prayer you like to engage in is not as important as your disposition of heart while you pray. In these difficult times the message is “Pray, Pray, Pray.” One way I like to pray at the end of a long, hard day is to comfotably relax and say these words over and over: "Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. Amen." When I pray these words I like to picture the infinite mercy of God flowing over planet Earth leading billions of people to conversion and salvation. Like a golf ball sitting at the bottom of a lake or a submarine deep in ocean's blue I pray-believe-picture the mercy of God surrounding the whole world with all of its people leading to an abundant harvest of souls to the greater Glory of God. Like a spec of dust floating in the middle of a huge room, so our tiny planet exists in an enormous universe. The Holy Scriptures say that "God fills the universe in all of its parts." With this being true, God is immense compared to us, our history, and all that we have done. Surely, the infinite mercy of God is available to all who believe in it. Can you pray-picture-believe that God will have mercy on billions of souls? Will you pray and believe with me? If two or more agree on Earth regarding anything it shall happen. Lord Jesus, I agree with all of our brothers and sisters who choose to believe with us that God our Father is saving billions of people through you, his only son. Praise the Lord as we see and believe it happening. Amen! |

I'm sure it strengthened their faith in Him as Lord and Messiah. Notice how the prophecy of Jesus is also fulfilled. The Kingdom of God is at hand! Additionally, the Scripture "To those who have, more will be given." This is the love God shows us. He takes us up 'a high mountain' and explains everything - by the power of His Holy Spirit - to those whom He loves while the proud of spirit are nowhere to be found. As a christian who has been posting at glp for a while i have truly rejoiced in the visions and Insights God has given to so many of you. On one occasion many years ago God blessed me with a vision as well: While praying alone in my room I was feeling very blessed by God and decided to ask him to love everyone in the world more than me. I reasoned at that time that if God loved everyone more than me then they would be just as blessed as I felt. Of course, now that I'm 49+ that prayer seems very childish but, who knows?, maybe God enjoyed it. When I rolled over to go to sleep I had a vision of Jesus in my spirit.... Jesus is full of grace. I saw Jesus full of grace. When he moved, it wasn't just graceful movement. It was Grace itself moving. This aspect of my vision/revelation was very beautiful. I did not see his face because he was beginning to turn away. His hair was difficult to describe. It was not the nice little pictures we carry in our wallets or hang on our walls. His hair was dry and wind swept. It was like the way your hair gets when you spend the day at the beach. His hair was also very, very thick like he had never had it thinned out. If you can imagine a man who had never had his hair thinned out, rarely washed [by our modern day standards] and wind swept by the hot sun, this is what Jesus' hair looked like. It wasn't at all dirty but just looked caveman-like. I also saw part of his beard, but like I said, he was turning away as if to say "follow me." This vision wasn't a brief flash of a picture in my mind but rather a revelation in my spirit, slightly longer lasting, and leaving an impression on my soul. I was awestruck by what I saw. I said to myself, "I have seen the Lord Christ." Why I said that precise title I still have no idea to this day. But what I do know and have learned by this is that Jesus is Grace itself. This revelation/teaching helped me greatly in the years to come. From that day onward I understood that whatever Jesus decided for me was the best for me. Whatever Jesus allowed to happen to me would become the best for me because Grace does not make mistakes. Jesus can do no wrong. Jesus is perfect. As the Scriptures say, "God is light, in him there is no darkness." And again, "God is love." Jesus is the way, the TRUTH, and LIFE. All of these scriptures have come alive for me - even more than they already were - since seeing Jesus |

God loves us all in Him. We are His children. I've shared how i was 'born again' when i was just 22 years old. Not too long after that on one particular Sunday afternoon I had no place to go so I decided to visit the base chapel. An evangelist was giving a talk. I thought I would go to listen. The talk seemed rather typical and commonplace, nothing new or surprising. Afterwards, however, the congregation was invited to divide into three groups. Group one would ask God to forgive them of all of their wrong doing and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Group two would dedicate their lives, talents, skills, and resources to the glory of God. Group three would pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Well, I thought,”I have already done one and two, I will pray for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit." I had not even heard of it at the time but it sounded exciting enough to try. The evangelist prayed with groups one and two first. Then she came to me. She asked me to repent of anything dealing with the occult. I said I only did the Ouiji Board when I was young but that was enough for her to request a prayer of repentance which I did. Then she said, “When I place my hands on you, you will receive the Holy Spirit.” Well, I knew the Spirit was inside of me because of the infilling, and wonderful revelations I had. But, I was not about to argue with an evangelist at the altar. So, I agreed. When she placed her hands on my head my whole chest seemed to open up and power began to fill me. Again the revelations came: “This is the “Stuff” that raised Jesus from the dead, Someone filled with this could never die, This is the power that heals, the Holy Spirit is alive and filling me, He is separate and distinct from me, How wrong the disbelievers are, People filled with this ascend to heaven.” I was overjoyed – even “intoxicated” like as described in the Book of Acts. To say I was overjoyed is actually an understatement. I was euphoric! I couldn’t believe God would touch someone like me. I went straight to my room to be alone with God and this amazing feeling I had. I lay on my bed and began to pray. Suddenly, this rapid-fire language I had never learned, studied, or heard before began to rocket out of my mouth directly to the throne of God. In it was a complaint for all of the abuse I suffered as a child. My spirit was speaking directly to Spirit and I knew without any doubt that he was listening. I had been given the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the Gift of Tongues. The generosity of God was astounding me. All because I had turned from sin and promised “to be good.” This was all just about nine months after I first found Jesus and almost 30 years ago. I have learned so much since then and have so much more to say. If you haven’t said that prayer to Jesus yet, NOW would be a good time to shut your eyes and say, “Yes, Jesus, do for me what you have been doing for millions of others since you first walked this earth.” Let us pray "The Saint's Prayer": Thank you Jesus for taking over my whole heart. Thank you Jesus for taking over my whole soul. Thank you Jesus for taking over my whole mind. Thank you Jesus for taking over my whole life. I forgive everone who ever hurt me in my life right up until this momement. Thank you for baptizing me in your Holy Spirit. Thank you for protecting me and my life in your most precious blood. Thank you now for giving me eternal life. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen and Amen. |

[[Summary Page 33]] The Life of Jesus Christ was announced by the Prophets... Fulfilled prophecy is the certain evidence that God's Word [i.e., Holy Scripture] is true! Biblical scholars tell us that there are over two thousand fulfilled prophecies found in the Bible. Of these, over three hundred acurately give specific details about the historical Jesus. For example, Isaiah 53 was written over seven hundred years before the birth of Jesus Christ and yet it beautifully describes His life: "He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows... and afflicted. He was pierced for our sins and crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him and by His wounds we are healed." Indeed, this whole chapter describes the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ with amazing accuracy. Fulfilled prophecy is the undeniable evidence that the Holy Spirit is the origins of human history. Even the birth place of the Messiah was foretold in Holy Scripture [Micah 5:2]. Biblical prophecy has never failed. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! Isa 53:5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isa 53:6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God's paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all. Isa 53:7 He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Isa 53:8 Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. God sends the Holy Spirit [Love] and proclaims that Jesus brings Him 'great joy.' What love the Father shows! Jesus is sent into the wilderness and resists the temptations of satan.... again out of love for his Father and us. He is the spotless Lamb of God. And, then, to show His great love for us He begins His public ministry by proclaiming, "Repent, the Kingdom of God is at hand." Jesus will now spend years [out of love for us and with nowhere to lay his head] to show us the way to Eternal Life !!! |

Mar 2:6 But some of the teachers of religious law who were sitting there thought to themselves, Mar 2:7 "What is he saying? This is blasphemy! Only God can forgive sins!" Mar 2:8 Jesus knew immediately what they were thinking, so he asked them, "Why do you question this in your hearts? Mar 2:9 Is it easier to say to the paralyzed man 'Your sins are forgiven,' or 'Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk'? Mar 2:10 So I will prove to you that the Son of Man [fn] has the authority on earth to forgive sins." I still remember the day my sin was forgiven!!! Things could not have been worse. There I was in the middle of the Pacific Ocean feeling like no one knew me or loved me. In a world of 5 billion people I felt all alone... and I was. I was at the end of my rope. I hadn't the strength to go on. Suicide was not an option. I firmly believed there was a way to be happy but what was it? Loneliness was ruining my days while nightmares were stealing my nights. My heart was sick; my brain fried. The guilt of so many stupid choices was making it difficult for me to hold my head up high. Like a directionless zombie I staggered through my empty days. After twenty-two years of a meaningless existence and agonizing pain I sobbed like a broken child. I wept like never ever before. I had heard of Jesus and believed he exists but did not know how to trust my life to him. I said, “Oh Lord, I promise I’ll be good, please take away this loneliness.” I collapsed onto the floor weeping, my face buried in my arm. My eyes were tightly shut but I could see Light. I saw myself through the eyes of Jesus Christ. He felt an overwhelming compassion for this young man lying helplessly on the floor. He descended to touch me. I struggled to get up, making it only to my knees. He surrounded me. His Holy Spirit began to penetrate my rib cage. I raised my arms and looked from side to side. I could not see anything but felt Jesus. The terrible, debilitating loneliness was washing away. I knew in an instant that Jesus loved me too!, that his power is real, and that heaven is a reality. I understood that this is the "Stuff" that raises people from death. God has forgiven me! Suddenly, my life had meaning! Great sorrow was being replaced by joy. I understood that this Holy Spirit is the One that brings eternal life. God loves you and me .... Alleluia!!! |

Mar 14:23 And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. Mar 14:24 And he said to them, "This is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice for many. Mar 14:25 I tell you the truth, I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new in the Kingdom of God." Mar 14:26 Then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives. [link to www.blueletterbible.org] Here are some of the most amazing words of Jesus Christ. Christians down through the centuries remain divided on just what He meant. For some it is literal, others understand the bread and wine as symbolic. Who is correct? Who is correct about whether or not there will be a rapture or when it will be? Who is right about what to say during a baptism? Is it, "In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit?" Or, are we supposed to say, "In the Name of Jesus?" Who is right??? Well, i can tell you who is wrong! It is written: [Matt 5:22] But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell. Arguing about God and/or doctrine is one of the most foolish things we can do. Yes, have an open discussion if you want to. But, if you find yourself getting angry then you have already violated Holy Scripure and it's time to walk away.  |
