Those who reject Him will never see His Kingdom Heaven and hell are real places. In the beginning God created the heavens, the earth, and many other things including Adam and Eve. Everything he created was Good. However, some things God created [the angels] chose to do evil. Adam and Eve follow God for a while but eventually sinned and were separated from his grace. The garden in which they lived was also separated from his complete harmony. While this earth began to be infested with evil, as it still is today, God's home remained in complete harmony with him. This place of no sin and death we call heaven. It is a perfect and beautiful dwelling for all who love and obey God. Jesus along with all of the angels and saints have a home there. It is a place without sickness or death. It is a real place where everyone who wants to go there will live in peace and harmony with everyone and everything. It is what this earth was designed to be before sin entered the world. It is the place where all who love Jesus will go after death. Sin, sickness, and every kind of evil was not God's plan for us. They are what happened when disobedience changed God's plan for us. Heaven is the restoration of God's perfect desires for all who chose to follow Him! Unfortunately, hell exists too. It was created for satan and his followers. Hell is the absence of God. All that God created was good. However, when certain angels decided that they wanted to be like God and not serve him they became separated from his grace. That is what hell is... a separation from God. Just like those ancient angels who disobeyed God [and are now known as demons] so many people today choose not to be like God. They are separated from God's grace and live in a type of hell. Life without God is hell. These people do what they want and are absolutely miserable. The Scriptures say that "God knows how to punish the wicked until the day of judgement." I was one of those people. My heart was broken, my soul was empty and my brain was a sphere of confusion. I was doing whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. Yet, I did not know what was wrong with me. Life was hell for me then just as it it for many today. For us, we can still - as long as we are in this life - find Jesus to save us from a living hell on this earth. The demons are condemend through their own choices and experience this everlasting separation from God. They will always be a part of hell. We, on the other hand, can escape the torture of separation from God through Jesus Christ. We must reject sin and accept Jesus in order to escape hell. When we do accept Jesus Christ we become 'born again.' We are no longer separated from God but become His children. Life becomes a new experience because we have passed from spiritual death into eternal life as children of the living and eternal God. |

So there he is in her house waiting on her when the TV crew comes in. When asked why he was there he said, "Because I'm a sick bastard, that's why." This man knew that he was breaking God's law. He also knew that he was committing a crime. He was arrested just outside her house and booked at the local jail. Why was he doing that when he knew it was wrong? Jesus taught, "he who sins is a slave to it." In other words, we become captured by our sin. We are no longer free to live a happy life in God, our sin has taken over. And, although, sin may seem fun for a while, eventually it catches up to us and destroys our life. How many marriages have been broken apart by husbands and wives cheating on each other? How many families have been torn apart by too much drinking or drug abuse? How many families have been broken up because mom or dad committed some crime and had to go to jail? How many people are just so selfish and self centered that they don't even care about those around them? This is all sin. Breaking any of the 10 Commandments that God gave us through Moses is sin. Sin causes separation from God and therefore death. Many people know that they are sinners but they just don't care. They are not able to enter into heaven upon physical death. They die a second death. A death of the soul. Jesus will not allow them to enter into heaven because they have chosen to follow evil. But - and here is the Good News again - all those who tell Jesus that they are truly sorry will be forgiven and allowed to enter into the kingdom of God. We all have sinned. No one is perfect. We all need a savoir. Anyone [yes, even you and me] can be "born again" through the death and resurrection of Jesus. God is just. Jesus paid the price for our sin. We only need to place our faith in him. Won't you come to Jesus today to escape sin and death? Wouldn't you like to exprience the wonderful things He has prepared for you. Life is short, my friend, please ask Jesus into your heart today! |

[[Summary Page 33]] :cross38: God loves His children and continues to show that love every day. For example, Jesus continues to heal people down through the centuries. Very few people seek this healing. Our first impulse is to run to the doctor to see what kind of medicine we can take to find healing. Doctors and medicine are fine but even more important than that is prayer. I strongly believe in prayer and sometimes medicine when appropriate. In the gospel of Mark Jesus says, "When you pray believe that you have received whatever you ask for and it shall be yours." Therefore, when we pray we need to believe that whatever we want he has already given us. God has already provided everything good through his only Son, Jesus. I could give countless examples of how this method of prayer has worked for myself and other strong christians. A good example from my own life I can think of right now involves the fact that for about fifteen years I took sinus medication on almost a daily basis. I would get terrible sinus headaches for days. However, over the YEARS I would also thank Jesus for healing my sinuses. I would take my medicine and also say, "Thank you Jesus for healing my sinuses." I would believe that God had already done for me in Jesus what I was asking for. I believed I was already healed! And, would sometimes tell my guardian angel about it too. Well, sure enough, God honored his Word and I no longer have to take sinus medication on a daily basis. Yes, sometimes like millions of others i can still get an occaisonal headache. But it is nothing compared to what i use to experience. My perseverence in prayer was rewarded. Is there something in your life that you can believe you have already recieved by faith even though you don't feel it yet? |
