God loves His children and continues to show that love every day. For example, Jesus continues to heal people down through the centuries. Very few people seek this healing. Our first impulse is to run to the doctor to see what kind of medicine we can take to find healing. Doctors and medicine are fine but even more important than that is prayer. I strongly believe in prayer and sometimes medicine when appropriate.
In the gospel of Mark Jesus says, "When you pray believe that you have received whatever you ask for and it shall be yours." Therefore, when we pray we need to believe that whatever we want he has already given us. God has already provided everything good through his only Son, Jesus.
I could give countless examples of how this method of prayer has worked for myself and other strong christians. A good example from my own life I can think of right now involves the fact that for about fifteen years I took sinus medication on almost a daily basis. I would get terrible sinus headaches for days. However, over the YEARS I would also thank Jesus for healing my sinuses. I would take my medicine and also say, "Thank you Jesus for healing my sinuses." I would believe that God had already done for me in Jesus what I was asking for. I believed I was already healed! And, would sometimes tell my guardian angel about it too. Well, sure enough, God honored his Word and I no longer have to take sinus medication on a daily basis. Yes, sometimes like millions of others i can still get an occaisonal headache. But it is nothing compared to what i use to experience. My perseverence in prayer was rewarded.
