How can you search for God wholeheartedly when you dont have a WHOLE HEART?

What does it mean anyway??

Ive heard it so often..ive tried to do it..I spent years searching..looking...wondering...and ive come to the conclusion that I must have missed something along the way..IF there was something to be found then by now I SHOULD have found it.


How does one look for God wholeheartedly as YOU describe it?

I might have been taught wrong..I MUST have been taught wrong..because after over 40 years of journey..I have not found yet.

Seen glimpses..a few false hopes..mirages in the desert...but still no closer to when I set out to find.

Have I been going in circles then?

..following WORDS..that only lead to more emptyness?

Thats why at this stage of my life ive had enough...I have looked long and far...and found nothing but more words..more books..more doctrines..more CRAP..all meaningless.

I have looked up all my life asking WHERE..WHY?..HOW?

But silence reigns..

People talk about a PERSONAL encounter...thats all well and good if you have actually HAD one.

The last time I felt anything was over 30 years ago....and I was young and impressionable and blinly beleived whatever bullshit I was told..and blindly felt whatever THEy wanted me to feel.

So how does one find the answer among so many confusing and contradictory paths?

Seek and you shall find...

But ehere was no time limit on that...do I have to search another 30 years..not that I have that long..to finally FIND what it is I am looking for?

LOVE?..thats all..just love...

But all I find is more...emptiness.

I can tell you how to find Jesus, and once you do, HE will reveal His love towards you. No, not in person, but through the Holy spirit, which shall dwell in you once you accept Jesus into your heart. This might be hard for you to comprehend, b/c it is a supernatual event that occurs within ones soul/heart. I cannot describe it, nor do I totally understand it. I just know b/c it has happen to me personally.

BTW- its not too late at age 40, or for that matter at any age. I was 40 yrs of age when I found Jesus, I am now 56. Believe me or not, I know just where you are coming from, for I had those exact feeling you have described.

Now, how to find Jesus: I am sure there are other ways, but this is how I found the Lord Jesus Christ. Though I was quite skeptical, I decided to find out once and for all if Jesus was real or just a fairy tail. I prayed for Him to reveal Himself to me while reading the four gospels. I read the NIV version b/c at the time it was easier for me to understand. Well, to make a long story shorter, before I finished reading them for the first time the Lord had opened my eyes that He was indeed the Son of God, the savior of mankind, the messiah, and yes, He loved me with a love that was unseachable. At that very moment I fell on my kness and begged the Lord to forgive me and I asked Him to come into my life and become the Lord of my life. Thats when the power of the Holy Spirit came indwelled inside of me. Anyway I continued to read them (4 gospels) over and over again. I couldn't get enough of His Word, and by doing so my faith just kept growing and growing. since then I have read the bible in its entirety many times. It really is amazing that the more you read God's Word the more enlighten you become that it is indeed the true Word of God.

Sorry for rambling on, I just though that maybe my testimony might be of some value to you.

I hope you will make an honest effert to seek Him out. I would like to pray for you if you wouldn't mind.

I'm doing very well, David, thanks for asking.

I've been enjoying this brief snowstorm that has been passing through. Looks like about 3 inches today but then it goes back to 50 degrees tomorrow. It is very pretty outside now!

Wow........snow. We have not had much of that here in Illinois this year. Very weird winter. Mild and dry.


I am doing OK....with God's help. Seems like there are more things to do with each passing year.......and it also seems like time is accelerating......making it harder to keep up with stuff. I have written reminder notes all over the place to do things......but then the notes get buried or lost.

Oh well....you do what you can........and learn not to let the other stuff bother you.

Ive been doing a lot of questioning of late...letting it all out as it were. Ive had a lifetime of doctrinal crap..and dead ends lined up in front of me. I can see where I went wrong now...and thats why I dont go to church anymore..going to church is where I went wrong.

Church..with its systems..its arrogance..its greed and selfishness...is what took me away from the REAL path..onto a "RELIGIOUS" path of lies and deciet dressed up as ""Christianity"..when in fact its the darkest most deceptive place one can go.

If you want to destroy your relationship with Jesus...go to church.

If you want to learn how to be self righteous and learn how to hate people..go to church..if you want to feel all "Elite" and "Special" and "CHOSEN"..and inflate the pride and the ego..GO to church....

Church is the best way ti kill off a TRUE relationship with Jesus..because you have MEN..always trying to SELL something..a feeling..a good time..an "Anointing"..a book..a doctrine..all confusing and treacherous..

The focus is always on SELF and POWER...never on Jesus except as a way to boost ego..make more dollars...or feel "Special"..PRIDE..always pride...

I tried to Go to church last night..and God made sure I could not go..so I will not go to church ever again.
