What's the best way to sell old guitars?
I have tried eBay, but I didn't have any takers. I priced them pretty low too. I am thinking about trading them into Guitar Center or something, but the nearest GC is like 2 hours away. I have thought about Craigslist, but my friend tried to sell stuff on there and was almost exclusively contacted by scammers (LOL that would be a thread on its own).

Anyway... got any ideas?

I have like 5 guitars and 1 bass... I want to get rid of them all without having to give them away for almost free.
All this has happened before, and will happen again.

Depends on the models of them man.

Prices have not been too depressed from what I am seeing and hearing.

What do you have to sell?

I know a LOT of players who will use nothing but classics to play on.

Give me a shout here and we can possibly trade some contact information.

I have a coupla "disposable" Email acounts I made just for this kind of initial contact.

Each time a person stands for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he or she sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. And crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. Few are willing to embrace the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change. If they are of any real value(5000 or more), go straight to Christie's or Bonham's or Antiquorum, and sell thru them. I deal with antique watches buying on ebaa, and never realized how easy it is to use them AND get true value for the item. To cover the selling costs, use a buyer's premium.
