Attention! Time moving faster - Help Question for those who know!
As with allot of you guys i have noticed what seems like a drastic change in time.
Things that have always taken a certain amount of time are taking way longer to accomplish. No.. its not old age. Im old but not "that" old

I have been researching trying to find a way to measure time now vs time a while back. Everyone seems to say that way doesnt exist.

I have a question i have not seen addresses anywhere else and i know some of the very smart individual's on this forum can answer it.

Would you be able to tell if time has been altered if you wher to acquire a full length video (security tape, vhs, beta ect) from lets say... 1975 or so and start watching it at 12am midnight till 12am the next evening shouldnt there be a difference?

Please excuse me if this seems like a stupid question but i am just curious.

Think about it.. wouldnt 24 hours permanently en capsuled on video never change?

I would "think" it would still be going after the present 24 hour time period ran out.

Doesn't seem stupid to me. I think time has been moving faster for at least two or three years.

Thank you.
I "know" time has changed i just cant figure a way to compare it to years prior.
When i say i "know" i mean in a common sense sort of way.
Where could one find 24 hours of uncut video from 1980?
Any ideas?

This is indeed very interesting.

Regarding the video tape, I would say...

If it was a security camera, pointed in one direction, and you had to watch every minute of it... I would say that 24 hours back in 1980 would seem just as long as a 24 hr., one angle security camera tape from 2012.

Maybe it is perception that makes time seem to pass quicker, or last longer...

Is there any difference in your surroundings now, than when you were younger?? A difference in people, entertainment, daily chores and the way they're done, etc??

I think it's perception, and having so many things that hold our attention for hours on end in this modern society that makes time seem to go by quicker.

Oh that and planet X.

when you're 5, 70 years IS a lifetime. when you're 65, those final 5 years will whooooosh by in a flash. Perception and the realisation of mortality, that's all.

If you watch the videos from the 70's, if the people seem to be moving quicker with faster mannerisms, then you know time is speeding up now.

I know it is because I also sense it now. I'm only 48.

How long have those idiots been experimenting with that fucking CERN machine? I have a weird feeling that CERN has caused something to go wrong at some point.

Also... I also believe Planet X is playing a big part in our changes.

I live in western NC and its like freaking spring here. Usually it would be 30 to 45 degrees here in January but yesterday it was 66 and today 71.
This time thing has me concerned.

Its all in your head.
Time is speeding up because you want it to.
I spent 6 weeks in Asia, and 7 weeks in the USA last year, and time could not have gone slower. Some weeks felt like months, it was awesome.

As you awaken you become aware of yourself.
And as you do ...

Thats all I have to say about that.

This time speeding up effect or what ever you may call it seems to get worse with every passing day...at least for me.

At work I'm not able to complete certain tasks that a few years ago I used to finish with time to spare.

And at home I just don't seem able to clean and take care of the daily chores with any time left for me (leisure time, tv, entertainment, etc.)...this really did not happen a few years ago.

I give you five stars just because you want to find a way to prove what those of all adult ages know, that time is no longer just out for a stroll and is definitely marching to the beat of a different drummer.

Yes, I've talked to some in their 20's who've notice this. It's not just for us old timers anymore...I'm 53, btw.

Personally, I think the speeding up of time has to do with the spiraling vortex our reality is on. As we get closer to the single point of the spiral time goes faster. I think it has far more to do with this dynamic than does anything else.

Heh, I also know someone like Sickscent could explain it a lot better than I...but I just wanted to at least post something about it.

For sure, age isn't as much a factor regarding noticing this anymore; awareness of one's environment is, though.

Totally non-scientific comment here, but still: I have a 2000, 2004, and 2005 vehicle, and 4 older battery powered clocks with fresh batteries. None of them keep time with my blackberry. All are slower, and need to be advanced a couple of minutes every week to 2 weeks. I have no older clocks that keep time any longer with my bberry. This was not an issue, at all, just 3 years ago. Just an observation, no conclusion.

Re: Attention! Time moving faster - Help Question for those who know!
the speed of an analogue tape is determined by the speed of the motors inside the player.

this is a fixed speed but how is it attained? how does the player ensure its playing at the correct speed?

the only way to use this method would be to observe a video with a timecode in it.

and see if the timecode matches up.

but my hunch is the way the player regulates the speed of playback would mask any time differences.

(I am the OP of this post - I decided to join because i learn so much from this forum)

I agree with you my friend. I have noticed the exact same thing you just stated. I used to be able to get all my chores done and always have spare time in the evenings. This was just 7 years ago. Now the very exact same chores seem to take the same amount of time but they are hard to complete in one day much less have time to spare.
I used to think this was all in my head but i have noticed more people asking the same questions.

Yes i understand this subject has been covered many times but that is not the purpose of this post.
I am on a mission to find a way to compare time now to time from the 70s or early 80's.
I am asking here because i know that this forum contains allot of very intelligent people.
Also, i needed help with coming up with a time stamped video from back then.
My intentions are to find an answer, not beat a dead horse.

Re: Attention! Time moving faster - Help Question for those who know!
Einstein absolutely had it correct on this, time really is relevant.

It's like when you're in a car wreck, time seems to slow down, and you watch things in what seems as slow motion. But actually it's not in slow motion, you are just more aware, and focused on what's happening right then.

There is NO WAY to prove your point on this either. If time had "sped" up, then wouldn't the tape player also? So it would run it's normal 24 hours, and to you, the observer, 24 hours would have passed. So how can you prove this? You can't...

As you age, you are not able to do as much in the same amount of time, even at 41 you can't do as much in an hour that you could have at 21...

So time in this thread is relevant to YOUR personal situation. As for me, I'm typing pretty dam fast, and by the time I post this, another will have posted something that took just as long to type, but it will have posted before me.

I suggest you watch the Terrance McKinny videos here. He explains it pretty well. Better than I can for sure.

Cheers!

Nothing to do with age,my 14 year old daughter remarked the other day how quick last year went for her, she said it seems like, the last year was a another life time to her, so far away in the past distance.

I remember at her age time went really slow for me!

Everything is relative, my friend.

As you age, one year in your life is a smaller percentage of your total life. For example, for a 4 year old, 1 year is 25% of their life. An eternity! However for a 40 year old, 1 year is only 2.5% of their total life.

Of course the years, days, hours and minutes seem to be going by faster!!
