They had their beginning under Pope Innocent III in 1203 until the Inquisition's final dissolution in Spain and Portugal in 1808.

The DVD documents as well twentieth century atrocities of the Vatican working with Roman Catholic dictators such as Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler; Francisco Franco in Spain, and Antonio Salazar in Portugal. Women might be awfully oppressed and there is no doubting that whatsoever, but which is worse? Women who actually know their power and actually have the self-restraint to keep mum about it? Or men who have been told they are powerful and "better than" only so governments of the world can take advantage of this inflated ego by making them live up to it until their death? Which one is more disillusioned about the state of things?

I would say women are wonderfully blessed to have the perspective they do for men are blinded by half-truths they only wish they could really believe about themselves to be true.

In a mostly violent and unstable society, it is only natural that physically stronger men dominate women (who would have a far lower life expectancy anyway.)

The real tragedy here is that the bible mentions these women for a reason.

They (not exactly all but some) are archetypal women of the divine feminine contained in all religions that pre-date christianity.

In this way, the bible is almost valid. The only thing that invalidates it, is that for 95% of Christians, this information is still esoteric--they cannot see nor do they understand it as an abstract.
