There are many strong women in the Bible....Ruth, Namoi, Ester, Elizabeth, and many more. These women lived by God's word, and are an insparation to me. I do realize that the Bible talks more about men, but women are included as well. Many people argue that the Bible makes women the "weaker" sex", so I'm going to go ahead and address this. I don't think that's the way God saw it at all. I think He saw women as the "gentler" sex. Women are as important to God as men are...just different. God created men to be physically stronger. This was so that they would be able to do manual labor, hunt, to protect women and children, etc. Therefore, someone was needed to balance men out..to do the jobs that were equally important, but that the men couldn't do, and that was women. Women were designed to bear/take care of children, cook, and tend to the house. Also, women are naturally emotional and sensitive which helps them to better take care of children. It's not that God loves one more than the other, but both are needed for His perfect purpose. The Bible commands women to be submissive to their husbands. This does not mean that we are to be "slaves" like some people think it does. This means that a woman's husband is the spiritual leader of the household. As Christ loved and protected the church, He is to love and protect her. When God asks your husband to do something, you are to support him in that as it is God's will. Some men take this out of context that they can boss their wife around. That's not what it means at all. Also, if your husband is truly following God then he will treat you with love, kindness, forgiveness, patience, etc. Now ladies...I know this may not be how it really is all the time, but just think how easy it would be to submit to your husbands if it were? That's what God intended. God called women to be strong, hard-working, role models for Him just as He did men.
