American Pickers...Mike and Frank are looking over an old barn and come across a nuke with the timer showing 5 seconds until detonation.

Operation Repo trash repossess a car and after getting it to their junkyard, while one of them slops canned beans in his mouth, discover a nuke in the trunk with the timer showing 5 seconds until detonation.

The stupid fat pig in the junkyard would start sniffling and crying and try to stuff his can of beans down his fat stupid gullet before the nuke detonates.

Here is why:

I hadn't watched TV in a long time. Well this year I thought I'd watch 'It's a Wonderful Life' at Christmas. So anyway, during a commercial break a 'The More You Know' clip plays and this sharp dressed reported guy with a lovely smile says something like: 'If you be nice to someone, people will be nice back' and that was it - that was the whole message! I was like - what? Anyways, I was reminded why I don't watch TV no more.

Trash consumes yet more trash. The problem with your TV listing is in the minds of the majority of TV watchers, people who are smarter than they tailor the programs tot heir taste to keep extracting that $$$$ year after year

I don't speak French, but I'm smart enough to deduce that this idiot is part of the HERD he/she refers to. I laugh in his/her general direction!

Its all crap. Most of the time goes for commercials anyway. An hour show is about 30 minutes long and 30 minutes commercials.

if you just took the time to LOOK, you'd find many good shows on TV nowadays.

ever hear of NatGeo? (National Geographic Channel)...or Discovery Channel?

Just because there's crap on tv doesn' mean you have to watch it.

LOOK THRU the listings and channels you can get and do some research; ok, even a little!!! and you'll find many worthwhile shows!!

Granted,there is lots of crap there, but the good stuff's there, too, if you only look for it.

On another note, I've noticed a real decline over the past 50 years on what language is acceptable on tv now, esp. on those situation comedies.

Recently I heard 'son of a bitch" and "bitch" and couldn't believe my ears!!! I am no prude, but just saying that a few years ago those words - and others - would never have been allowed.

So they may be catering to the lowest common denominator, or looking for ratings....but such is life in the world of TV!!!
