I inherited an old VERY heavy, VERY hard to clean up juicer...hated it for those reasons alone. I got a Breville (don't remember what I paid, but it wasn't the $300 other folks mentioned). It's great. I use a small grocery-store bag to line the discard area. No mess. Doesn't even need scrubbing...just rinsing. Be sure to checkout the cleanup before you buy one...that old one had to be scraped and scrubbed with a brush every time. The leftover pulp can be used for soups...or substitute it in a carrot cake/zucchini bread recipe.
Quoting: weegie yeah - clean-up is a chore. not so much scrubbing with mine but the many parts you have to disassemlbe/reassemble to get it clean is a pain i put my leftover pulp in the garden :)
