something about that doesn't sit right with me. Like the film seems too clear for an 80's shot. His pants seem to have a very modern seam on the side, double stitched and a modern cut. I think it's a fake.

plus the camera works way to modern for the 80's, theyd have one shot and stuck with it, no way would they be zooming in and out like that. Plus he cant keep a straight face.

IDK the clothes fit the time and the furniture isnt recent for sure nor the decor.The glasses are old style.Lots of technology that could make the film look good.

It's a set, even down to the 'art deco' mug on the fucking side stand.

On the bottom of the film, it is not framing right. Not saying this is authentic, but I wouldn't disclaim it all on the evidence of the video quality, because it is not tracking right.

Those pants look like jeans or chinos. Both were common then. Also, he's French and European styles have always been somewhat different, even when living in America. His French is spoken naturally and subtitled correctly. Video color isn't perfect. I think it could have been recorded in the 80s, but the You Tube poster should have provided some notion of where it came from. I googled paranormal74, the poster, and found a woman with that handle has a French blog. Who knows?

They didn't have video then. They only used FILM. And film transfers very nicely to DVDs and even high def.

it said the 80's not the 40's. ;) I was there.... we had cool jeans too. Drain pipes were for 80's rockers and guys in the 50's. Not sure of the film quality. What was this from? Television? Video Camera? I'm of the opinion that OP has lobbed the proverbial ball into the court of the nay-sayers. IF ya want to argue the validity of the video, then provide proof that it's fake yourself. THEN it will OP's turn.

What makes me question this video, is, the speaker says he moved to California 20 years ago... then why the hell is he speaking French and not English?

i think him mentioning moving to california in his youth only lends credibility to the whole thing. Otherwise, for what purpose(if it were a hoax) would he even be mentioning it for?

Simply; there is no proof of credibility here, nor is there any proof to discredit anything either.

In fact, to me, everything in the clip looks of the time specified. So imo its a pretty decent hoax if thats what it is.

He looks totally 80's to me. Fashoinably, to some, he may even look to be stuck in the late 70's
