..::Obama and Big Government::.. Food for Thought on Elections
First off, I am going to start off by saying I am only twenty one years old. I work as a Senior IT Analyst for a shipping company, nothing special but it pays the bills and keeps the girl satisfied :)

I like to learn and politics is definitely a strict hobby of mine which only recently came about the last few years.

As a young guy, I try and look at everything with a broad perspective while being open. One of the things I'd like to talk about is Obama's policies and behavior while pointing out some contrasts. These are things to think about when we look at our upcoming candidates.

1. When Bush was in office, our public debt rose from 5.7 Trillion to 10.7 Trillion from 2000-2008. This mainly due to an inevitable war.

** Since Obama has been president, from 2008-2012 he has raised the debt from 10.7 Trillion to 16+ Trillion. This means Obama has already spent more than Bush did (5.3 Trillion) in just 4 years.

2. Unemployment Rate: In my opinion, there is only one way to look at the unemployment rate. You will see articles/news agencies stating "The unemployment rate has increased to 9.8%!" <--- This means jack.

When you view a president look at how he handles his economic strategy with the U.S., for example: Right now, businesses in the U.S. are being charged 30% to 40% of their income in taxes while companies who work overseas get deductions. Does this make a lick of sense?

Here's how you make job growth in my opinion:

Charge Americans only 5% - 10% taxes on businesses that are stationed here in America, and charge companies who profit overseas the 30% - 40%. This will immediately make companies bring their business back to the United States, thus... oh god don't say it! IT WOULD CREATE JOBS.

Obama has done nothing to assist in this, nor will any candidate who has companies overseas. Look at Mitt Romney, Gingrich etc for examples of "replicas"

3. National Defense Authorization Act

Come on guys, this ACT Obama signed is ridiculous. In other words, he can detain you. Does that mean he will? Hell I don't know, but he can. Legally now. That's the point.

BIG GOVERNMENT.

The National Defense Authorization Act greatly expands the power and scope of the federal government to fight the War on Terror, including codifying into law the indefinite detention of terrorism suspects without trial. Under the new law the US military has the power to carry out domestic anti-terrorism operations on US soil.

4. Obama and Internet Censorship Legislation

For an idea what I'm talking about, check this video out.

Now they want to detain us and censor our internet? Hmm. Looks increasingly BIG GOVERNMENT.

5. United States Troops

With all of this Big Government going on, I increasingly wonder how come all of our troops are spread out over the entire world.

Remember the fall of Rome? One of the causes: Over-Expansion while politicians ran corrupt at home, if something happens here in the U.S., for example we get nuked.

Government declares "martial law".

All of our troops are overseas. What the f*** are you going to do when you start seeing blue helmets and foreign troops running around the U.S.?

Bad policy. Bad idea.

6. Government Bailouts of Business/Banks

OK. Anyone who pays attention realized that over 150+ banks and industries since Obama have been bailed out.

Why is our government not letting them fail? If you mess up your mom and pop biz, well your screwed. It seems that the only people who get bailed out are the top execs.

Obama's latest thing is that if he gets "re-elected" he will forgive everyone's mortgages. He CANT even legally do that. But obviously that doesn't matter, big government baby.

7. Welfare and Handouts

This is what pisses me off about Obama the most. He believes that if you are poor, and don't work - you deserve money because you ARE NOT rich. This logic is ridiculous.

All of us who have jobs, pay for these idiots to sit at home and smoke pot, do drugs and get drunk. All of our taxpayer money goes to a bunch of low-lives, that if a real president was running the country they would just die off like they were suppose too.

8. Immigration

Enough said.

VOTE RON PAUL 2012.
