The sound is very steady and has the same frequency.

I would say it could be a drilling device or it could be again a Atmospheric pressure difference in that location.

For fuk sake, now they post sound of waves hitting beach. sons of beaches...

You sir, a complete moron, that bass you hear except the wave sound is just because mic is close to water, it is totally in sync with the wave hitting the shore sound. It disappears at the delay between two waves.

You'll notice that the sounds are not all the same, some sound like a trumpet or horn, others more of a steady hum.

Where do you live in CR?

My daughter lives in Costa Rica, I will ask her later if she has heard this noise. She is in San Jose so quite far from a beach..several hours. It is a very large populated area, if she heard the beach in the middle of San Jose, something would definately be wrong.

I am a girl not a 'sir' --- calling me names, does not bring us to agreement any faster. I think it is freaky sounding, and if you don't agree, SO WHAT?

Costa Rica has the Pacific coast on its west and Carribean on its east coasts. But if you read the article, the sound was reported all over the country, even in areas not near the ocean.
