wow, what a find op , thank you very much, this reminds me of a book i read long ago about strange things that happend, one was similar to this, a man who was standing in his feild back in either the 1800 or 1700,s suddenly vanished it was wittnessed by his family , they ran out to where he was and could hear him faintly calling them, but he wasnt anywhere they could see, apparently a while later he reappeared breifly and then again was gone. weird weird strange stuff kiddies.

I was in the future—it was too late to RSVP.

Maybe he was abducted or got caught in some sort of glitch or something. If time travel is real, means there are past versions of people who died and future versions of ourselves living in different dimensions. Idea seems really dumb to me, so a version of myself that is one day older than I am right now is living in another universe?

Ive heard that an alternate version of him survived and is asking for help to return to his own time right on godlike productions.

Its not even an urban legend anymore. The source has been clearly identified as a Science Fiction story published in the 1920's in Colliers.

Urban legend.. first taken from a book "A Voice from the Gallery." by Ralph M. Holland 1953. It resurfaces from time to time.. different names, different cities. Still a very uber-kewl story.. I think it would make an excellent screen play.

speaking of time travel... according to Al Bielek & Preston Nichols, the Montauk Project was ended by Duncan Cameron after he encountered Christ...

They time traveled for a sample of Jesus Christ's blood...

Duncan Cameron and Al Bielek: the NWO sent Duncan back to collect a blood sample from Christ... perhaps planning to fake a second coming w clone??

When Duncan goes back, Jesus says to him: "I know who you are..." and gives him permission to take a sample back with him... not explained how...
