Hi Guys,
Regarding BDI, I've recently stumbled upon a very interesting article on how the shipping companies are ready to transport goods for extremely low prices even though they're loosing money on it. The reason - it's cheaper in the long run to keep ships going than docked. My questions is, if shipping companies were to operate at profit, thuse potentially reducing the amount of goods shipped (as some would not be willing to pay that much), would BDI go lower than yesterday's 877?

Thanks for the update. I haven't followed it recently after it "rebounded" to 1100 or so. 843 is a scary number, and basically means many shippers will just park their ships as they will lose money just operating.

Also, to go along with this there was recently there was a zerohedge article about the collapse of Chinese ship building too this year. Some ship yards have not built a single ship.

yeah, it's really global now. This is clearly the Second Great Depression really. I'm afraid it will lead to WWIII.
