The facility forms part of the worldwide magnetic observatories network Intermagnet which monitor the Earth’s magnetic field. HMO is the regional warning centre for Africa. Seismologists have been monitoring the Augrabies anomalies over concerns that these might be advance-warning signals for a major seismic event in SA. Top earthquake expert Dr Chris Hartnady has been issuing public warnings since February last year that a major earthquake could be hitting SA because of the rapid spread of the East African Rift fault lines. He warned in a scientific paper in Science in Africa last year : ‘Major earthquakes can lead to large-scale loss of life and property due to building collapse, fires and landslides on unstable slopes and catastrophic disruption of dam walls and water mains – and roads, railways and fuel pipelines.” link [link to nolstuijt.wordpress.com] |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4183151 and I'd say thats a very likely assessment fin ;) so yeah, seismicity is about to ramp up soon as a precursor for FEBRUARY and MARch that could be 2 of the most violent months, if not cataclysmic on record and a major eruption correlating to WAR with IRAN that if occurs, will involve nuke terrorism, financial armageddon and martial law. (oh and 1/19 to 1/22 are key illuminati power dates to watch) and thats not even to mention the arrival of a second sun and approaching jovian mass . but anyways...back to the "good" news ;) KEY Big Quake Warning dates to watch still for January: 1/13, 1/15 & 1/16 1/23 1/27 1/29 1/30 1/31 +/- 1 day Last Edited by MatrixLNIN11 on 01/12/2012 11:17 PM |

The projects are continuing, and have spawned follow on projects. We have teams like the USA playing in Cape Town now, post world cup, to a full, brand new stadium. We have U2 playing there, Neil Diamond, all sold out, all events that would not happen without the new facilities. And apart from all the facts and figures, you cannot put a price on the experience of having that event in your country, of what it has done for us as South Africans, the confidence it has given the country. We now have football fridays or cricket/rugby fridays at work – where it is basically a national requirement to wear a sports jersey and show support for the national teams. It is fun and it has brought us closer together – and in a country with a history like South Africa’s, that is priceless. |
