The Trees, the Old Man, and the Dog - End Times Story
I wrote this in September 2010. Before I ever heard of people hearing strange noises and attaching any "apocalyptic" meanings to them. I knew of the "hum" however, and had heard it myself many times - I associated it, as do many people, with earthquakes and tectonics etc. Logical explanations. But with everything going on in the world, I took it one step farther.

The dog in the story is a remembrance of our beloved Cassie, who passed away at 8 years old of cancer just a few years back. She had saved my father's life once, and always looked like she had some great wisdom that only came from the angels.

Anyway, to sum up the way I felt, and still feel, is a quote from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland: "For, you see, so many out-of-the-way things had happened lately, that Alice had begun to think that very few things indeed were really impossible. "

And so here is this quaint little story - of the "End Times." If you disagree with the theology, or find it strange, just take it with a grain of salt, and perhaps, some fun. If you are a Christian, you will probably see a lot more than that.

hearts

Very nice!
Spirituality is the opposite of religion, religion is a substitute for spirituality. Spirituality is a direct connection to Creator The Most high.

Keats, I had to bookmark that story. It was wonderful. So do the tree's still talk to you? What other signs have you witnessed?

Peace to you.

Re: The Trees, the Old Man, and the Dog - End Times Story
So let's say that the branches of trees are pointing in directions of the magnetic fields all around us, perhaps they derive their energy in some way from this without us having any idea. Are they then not just maps of the energy systems of our planet? I know, a little out there but listen a little.

My daughter told me the other night that she had a dream, where the area between the tree branches opened up to reveal a different place, a world of sorts, she couldn't really see what it was, put it was a different place. When she moved from side to side, this "portal" I like to think of it, would move out of her sight and she'd see only the real world. But if she were to move to exactly the right place, and look up at the right angle, she could see the entrance again.

So what if the "hum", the sounds we're hearing, are trying to nudge us in the right direction. The truth is right there in front of us for someone to discover, but we never look up. The wind traveling through the branches of trees, could be their way of trying to yell at us, look up, look at what is going on around you. You people are not even remotely aware or questioning anything.

Are they trying to show us the something?

Trees are the oldest souls on this planet, we should pay more attention to them.

Thank you for sharing. As a child, I often walked through the woods and could hear the chatter from the tree's. As an adult, I continue to listen when things seem bleak in my life and I need reassurance. I'm a spiritual person and what we hear are basically one and the same. One only needs ears to listen and eyes to see the force that lives within the tree's.

The term "End Times" was coined by Christians and is popularly associated with the Book of Revelation. So...you did have a clue. ;)

I had the same disappointment. 'End Times' does a give a clue, so I guess I shouldn't have bothered clicking on the link.

Still you're not a bad writer.
