Even in times of failure the hardest things you would have to do is haul lime, create lye, and move water. I use wild dogs to keep the wolves at bay and that's just so the wolves don't acclimate themselves to easy eats. |

I live under my experiment of European peasant farming. Every spring I plant roughly 15 000 plants by hand and breed and rebreed various seed stocks. It's really not difficult. Even in times of failure the hardest things you would have to do is haul lime, create lye, and move water. I use wild dogs to keep the wolves at bay and that's just so the wolves don't acclimate themselves to easy eats. Dionysian, thats good of you to say, But say that to all the corporate teats and the metro sexuals and mall rat women. Its not for everyone, Thats why most are fleeing the family farm and running to the big city. Happens all over in Wisconsin. Even the farmers in China and India are fleeing in droves. Theyd rather work the assembly line so they can buy a IPAD than stay on the farm. Humans are social creatures, they will move where the others are flocking, I have family farms and ranches in my lineage and one weekend almost went out of my mind from isolation and lonliness when I stayed at one of them. |
