Was there an actual person named St. Louis? Who was he?
Quoting: CrissCross Yes he was a real person. The king of France , Saint Louis or Louis the IX. He was from the very powerful and infamous House of Capet. There is one statue of him in St.louis and he's riding a hoarse I believe lifting his arm. It's in front of the History museum on top of Art hill in Forest Park, home of the 1904 Worlds Fair.
