I am thinking of getting a new reciever because the optical port is throwing me fits on the ps3. However, my current speakers all have the spring loaded wires for both ends...the kind that you push down on where you want to insert it(thats what she said). All the new recievers look like they have plug in ports....is there some sort of adapter that I can use to be the middleman here....I don't want to shell out money for the speakers too |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1434540 thats what I have now for the speakers but I can't find a reciever that has all 5 inputs as split wires. Most have the center and rears as split but the front as a plugin |

I've spliced speaker wire into RCA cables. You can cut, strip, solder, or perhaps there is some sort of convertor. I can't imagine there NOT being a receiver with good old speaker wire ports (push and insert kind) (thats what she said) haha |

You can get a good onkyo or marantz for a few hundred that will do dual zone and 3d hdmi. |
