#1) Shut down: Eliminate all ties to previous life and convert anything and everything you have into as much liquid cash as you can.

Had a chance when I was young and healthy to try out for a major movie that starred Kevin Costner. This particular movie per se was ok, But the whole industry stinks, Im not appealed to make out and have sex on screen so my kids will see it later on. Good thing about threads like this, it keeps me in check. I make good money about 20K$ a month but I am scared to get hooked and in debt because if something happens I could loose it all. So instead of getting a bigger house and more cars I have just about paid off everything I own. I only go 30 years left of workability if possible, health permitting. We live in what is called a capitalist system, and a capitalist system is like crap in toilet, shit always floats to the top.

The best way to characterize capitalism honestly is the most ruthless and dishonest occupy the positions of power and wealth, acquiring them through conspiring with others of a similar mindset sometimes sharing a certain ethnic backgammon I won't get into here, and to put it bluntly, by stealing from the least intelligent and least able to understand concepts like interest and the fact that the harder one works does not at all correlate with success, in fact it usually equals living in poverty.

Don't misunderstand me, Capitalism DOES NOT reward the most intelligent or the most honest ,and certainly not the most worthy, it rewards the devious and those willing to sell their their mother for a few bucks. The most intelligent are usually burdened with a conscious, and thought there have been notable exceptions, the really horrible people in history have been of moderate intelligence and no moral boundaries.
It might come as a surprise to you, but there are more well above average intelligence people pushing shopping carts and living on the streets than there are in investment banking by a very wide margin.

This is simply because very often the intelligent are intentionally sabotaged in life by people who are their superiors like teachers and work supervisors.

Sooner or later the individual becomes disillusioned, like you are now, and gives up on themselves.

As a personal example an oilfield repair shop manager with no formal education past the 8th grade developed an unexplained dislike for me.

Eventually he had me fired by blaming a stupid redneck mistake he had made on me. There is no doubt in my mind his problems with me were simply because he recognized I was more intelligent than he was and far more qualified for his job than he was because I was college educated and had an background in engineering. THIS IS VERY COMMON IN THE CAPITALIST SYSTEM, AND A PRIMARY REASON WHY IT IS A FAILING SYSTEM!

A truly successful economic and social system must reward people according to their physical effort and the ingenuity, not their dishonesty and lack of moral restraint.



Do not feel like a failure because you don't have things or like people, the vast majority of people these days are better off avoided and most aren't worth a .223 cartridge to shoot and shovel in a shallow hole.

I'll tell you another little gem of wisdom, i never met a wealthy person who was truly happy and I have met many, but I have met people as poor as a church mouse who were content and always happy.

You will find the most corrupt, dishonest and ruthless people have the most power and wealth, whereas the most honest who would give their own life to save that of a child they didn't even know don't have two dimes to rub together.

It is a rare occurrence indeed to meet a wealthy person of good moral character, in fact in 50 years of life I have yet to. However, i have met many people who have accumulated a home they actually own and comfortable living through hard work, but this usually doesn't occur until much later in life, and it seems as soon as they get to this point they get sick or run into some bad luck and lose everything, dying penniless.

The point is to turn those money into food or survival items at the right time. Or else those money can turn into useless paper overnight.
