very strange, we actually had a similar sound echoing around the Ohio Valley area around Halloween this past year. Specifically Beaver County, PA area.

Thank you to everyone contributing links and videos to this thread!! You are great, we may not know what is causing it but to know that it is not an isolated event, and is in fact happening all over the world.... AND IT ALL SOUNDS THE SAME!!

Well that's just proof something just 'aint right folks...

This needs some media coverage with some in depth scientific monitoring and discovery.

In some of them, it sounds like a music note, like those frequency sounds you hear on meditation tapes and stuff, I know each of em has a name like "725hz" or something, can anybody identify the note/frequency in any of those videos?

Others just sound like wind/air escaping a giant valve or something, but it might be the video quality... It totally breaks my mind, but I'm inclining towards it being something multi-dimensional that's coming from beyond our reality..

I am going to try and capture it on vid, hadn't really thought about doing so before as the first few times I heard it, I really did think it was the wind over the prairies, or a strange type of plane, but it is not, that is for sure.

It gives one a feeling of eerie uneasiness when you hear it. Like I said, it sounds like a bear waking up from a long winter nap.

whenever that sounds was heard at the Tampa Bay Rays baseball game last fall, someone made note that it could have been air escaping underground bunkers.

The video from Mexico freaks me out because it looks like tney went to their basement. The one from Manitoba is weird because tne dog is yelping like mine does when he hears a train horn

It would be really cool if these sounds were really coming from nature. They aren't coming from nature though.

Watch Transformers, and you'll hear every one of those sounds. Those sounds are stereotypical sounds of metal gears, robots, and huge machinery.

This is obviously an excellent case of viral marketing. Hell people are even convinced they heard sounds in their town because a train rolled through in the distance.

They're probably tuning HAARP to sound like the voice of a God. Which would explain why it was louder underground in Mexico. The waves were more focused underground. Or they're readying the 2012 scenario and each location is a target. I'm betting on my first guess.

I want sounds like this! We have just boring distant rumbling from the ground. Every night, its quite annoying, as sound like thunder, but lasts for at least 15 minutes. And is quite soft, you can feel it more that you can hear it. Boring.

Exactly. These are hollywood manufactured sounds designed to sound like huge hulking creatures so huge that every movement makes the earth shake with bass.

Or as I said earlier, these sounds are exactly like the sounds of huge machinery, and lots of metal gears.
