This is illegal. I am not sure but I believe seeing the detention bill says "the USA is a battle field now", war time laws apply now and for each his own. Anyone can do what ever it takes to survive. |

When you drive by "weight station" look for "camera equipment" over main road, or scanners over each line. Atlanta have them to "catch" carpool cheaters. You people speak so lightly of war; you don't know what you're talking about. Sherman |

Every license plate is already registered to an individual. I don't see what the whining and crying is about. Seems to me they just didn't want to link to the DMV database instead of doing it this way. |

OK, so I'm a little off track here, but I'm finding it difficult to believe there are 550,000,000 registered rode vehicles in the US. Quoting: Faith I thought that number was high as well. Not surprised, since there is no expectation of privacy on public roads, except, of course, within the inside of the vehicle. |

ANPR, (automatic number plate readers), have been active in the UK for the last 10 years. You have nothing to worry about. The pigs only catch drunk disqualified drivers or stop cars without registration documents etc. Nothing to worry about if you are legal. Plus if your car gets stolen the police can normaly track it down and get it stoped within a couple of hours. As soon as they drive it though an ANPR camera zone it gets flaged up to the local police, works great. Car crime has dropped tremendously over the last ten years and is dropping year on year. |

We have had this opperational in the UK for a long time. Its good unless your a terrorist or a criminal. It helps keep uninsured drivers off the road and unroadworthy vehicles. Also the plate recognition software incorporated into our system in the uk allows your vehicle to be automatically tracked. This also helps service personel in the execution of their duty. As I opened with, unless your a law breaker you have nothing to worry about. |

Private, not the government, so there is NOTHING to worry about. Move along, sheeple. If is a privately owned company doing all this it isn't impacting your rights in any way. Even the Constitution says so. Only Big Government can violate your privacy or threaten your rights. |

At tens of millions of new/used car sales every year even 5 years would be a large amount of plates. |
