So then, the various web sites going black in protest of SOPA will, of their own volition, accomplish what the people behind SOPA want: To shut down the internet and deprive people of unpropagandized sources of news and information. Perfect.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4858304 Thats not the point at all. Its to shake people up to what will happen to these sites if some of the laws continue to pass through the government. They are trying to wake up and alert the general public of how much the government controls/could control various sources of information. Make people hurt a little...might make them less passive and ignorant on laws being passed...
