Is it just me or is everyone going broke?

Lord where are we headed?

It looks like everyone is living paycheck to paycheck. I offered the guy that got his card declined $20.00, but he refused.

I got a raise this week. Doing fine.

I for one am also broke and I've been seeing alot of the same.

The economy is tanking. I have a feeling its going to get worse.

The economy has gotten much worse. You have to keep in mind that gas is over $3 dollars a gallon and that right there was enough to crash the economy.

Add to that the jobs lost because of the rise in gas prices and the damage done by the stock market debacle and now you have even more problems in the economy.

Nothing has been done to make this any better by our government, so the problems just keep going on.

It's sad, worrisome and scary. God Help Us because He is the only One Who Can!

There is enough money, we the people just don't have it.

Well, I have $400.00 that has to last me 9 days. So I guess I could consider myself almost broke.

Actually I am broke myself all the time, only purpose in life is to pay bill after bill. I am really getting nowhere.

Shit, down the street on my very own block, in the magical lawn of make-believe, there is a couple that has spray painted green grass in the middle of January, a sport boat, and a Hemi truck. Don't know how good they are eating, but they sure make it look good.

I live paycheck to paycheck...I am finding more ways to stretch my dollars...and finding I can live without a lot of things I thought I couldn't, but at least the bills are all paid.

OP, it really seems like the common theme for most Americans. Unless you were pretty well off before the last few years...most are struggling week by week.

Unfortunately the majority of the population doesn't have a store of food in their homes, not even 3 days worth.

that`s the truth, cost of living has skyrocketed,i can`t even afford to sub here, so i keep getting banned.when asked if i would i can do anything about my circumstances, we are running backwards, our food bill is more and the articles are less, everything is a bill, the rates hiked then gain a water bill, utilities climbed, this is the never ending reality story.

I do the same thing. Saw a woman who was short and had to take back two can's of vegetables. I offered to by them for her.

Basically the people you see doing well are in government jobs they do nothing all day and get paid to much for jobs that don't need doing.
All off the back of our taxes which get stolen off us and paid to them.
Government workers are nothing but welfare recipients.
