If this link is accurate, there's some interesting people in Antarctica right now.

Maybe this is some plan to come clean on extra -terestrial existence.but instead of just saying "we work with aliens a mile under the desert",they employ the likes of Cameron to film a extra terestrial object miles under the ice.
And get the likes of Richard Branson to bump human space travel.
Wonder where the technology will be coming from for Bransons space buses,after all he,s just the face behind Virgin.
