Anyone else hear "the sound" in OH?
I know I'm getting to this late but I'm not on much and until recently hadn't realized what I experienced on New Year's Eve wasn't an isolated incident. It was approx. 10pm in Donellsville, OH (about 15-20 miles from metro Dayton)myself and several of my friends heard a distant roar combined with a whooshing sound sort of like what you get when a strong gust of wind approaches through distant trees. Having grown up with WPAFB primary airfields literally in my back yard and my experience while serving with the 101st out of Ft. Campbell I can tell you this was no aircraft. At least not one I have ever heard. Also, as Donellsville is a farming community we are far enough from any metropolitan or industrial area that it is unlikely to have been any conventional man made cause I can think of. The next day I did see that there was a rare 4.0 + mag EQ in Youngstown a couple hours to the north at roughly the same time... however the distance between our locations caused me to believe them to be unrelated.

This was only a curiosity to myself and my friends on NYE, yet now that I have seen an outbreak of eerily similar stories worldwide I find it unsettling. Anyone else experience this "sound" on NYE? Thanks in advance for your reply!

hmmmmmmm

in a lot of the recent years of visits our lord has made to tell us all of heaven and hell and His soon coming, He mentions a loud trumpet will blow, all over the world. If I recall correctly only those who are believers that will be raptured will hear it.
I guess I need to get more serious with my faith and life in Christ when I hear of such things.............

It seems lately there are so many distracting attractions and I want to be alert and ready. Jesus Christ could come for me at anytime.

Alright whatever dude. The point of the thread wasn't to convince you of my story so I don't particularly care what you believe. I specifically asked other Ohioans to share their experiences. So if you have nothing to contribute why don't you just piss off? Or on second thought keep posting. A bump is a bump...

My son and I heard it Dec. 31st around 2 PM. We live in Arlington Texas. We heard the exact same thing as the videos going a round to me it sounded like traffic on a highway a constant swish sound then every few second a horn or metal type sound. lasted about 3 min. When I watched soem of the videos posted here i was stunned it was the same and the video was from Ukrane!!!

Shaker Heights here. I have heard the booms, and could not find out where they were coming from. The first time was during the Avengers filming downtown (at least that I noticed), and I thought the sound traveled. But I heard the booms a couple weeks ago (on multiple occasions), and could not find the origin.

Near New Carlisle here, OP. I heard it twice earlier this week. One morning at 1 AM, and the next morning. You described it to a "T."

Anyone else hear the strange rumbling in the sky around 1AM last night? North of Dayton here.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 543618

I'm north of Dayton. I actually went to bed early last night. But.....I got up at 1 because my dog was barking. I didn't figure out why...he didnt want to go outside. He is old, so he does weird things. But usually when he barks at night it is because he has to pee. Interesting.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1255818

It was about 1 or 1:30 AM. I had just gone to bed. I heard it in my bedroom. It was definitely like a grumbling. I went outside, it was very loud. Almost like a huge wind, but it was only a little breezy.
