Anonymous Coward User ID: 9129901 United States 01/19/2012 07:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know I'm getting to this late but I'm not on much and until recently hadn't realized what I experienced on New Year's Eve wasn't an isolated incident. It was approx. 10pm in Donellsville, OH (about 15-20 miles from metro Dayton)myself and several of my friends heard a distant roar combined with a whooshing sound sort of like what you get when a strong gust of wind approaches through distant trees. Having grown up with WPAFB primary airfields literally in my back yard and my experience while serving with the 101st out of Ft. Campbell I can tell you this was no aircraft. At least not one I have ever heard. Also, as Donellsville is a farming community we are far enough from any metropolitan or industrial area that it is unlikely to have been any conventional man made cause I can think of. The next day I did see that there was a rare 4.0 + mag EQ in Youngstown a couple hours to the north at roughly the same time... however the distance between our locations caused me to believe them to be unrelated. Quoting: rkseverance This was only a curiosity to myself and my friends on NYE, yet now that I have seen an outbreak of eerily similar stories worldwide I find it unsettling. Anyone else experience this "sound" on NYE? Thanks in advance for your reply! There is no "Donellsville" Ohio. |

If I recall correctly only those who are believers that will be raptured will hear it. I guess I need to get more serious with my faith and life in Christ when I hear of such things............. It seems lately there are so many distracting attractions and I want to be alert and ready. Jesus Christ could come for me at anytime. |

Fuhrer D User ID: 3916316 United States 01/19/2012 04:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in Trenton, Oh. and I have heard strange sounds. I've heard alot of big booms and no one know's where it's coming from. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1311271 Shaker Heights here. I have heard the booms, and could not find out where they were coming from. The first time was during the Avengers filming downtown (at least that I noticed), and I thought the sound traveled. But I heard the booms a couple weeks ago (on multiple occasions), and could not find the origin. Last Edited by Fuhrer D on 01/19/2012 04:07 PM Fighting fatuousness, one AC at a time. |

Sleeping Giant User ID: 543618 United States 01/19/2012 04:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Anyone else hear the strange rumbling in the sky around 1AM last night? North of Dayton here. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 543618 I'm north of Dayton. I actually went to bed early last night. But.....I got up at 1 because my dog was barking. I didn't figure out why...he didnt want to go outside. He is old, so he does weird things. But usually when he barks at night it is because he has to pee. Interesting. It was about 1 or 1:30 AM. I had just gone to bed. I heard it in my bedroom. It was definitely like a grumbling. I went outside, it was very loud. Almost like a huge wind, but it was only a little breezy. Here is another thread I had mentioned it on. Wake up, oh sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you |
