If it were me... I would be afraid of becoming dead in some "accident" if I really did drop a bomb that would end his political career... or worse should he become President and I had attacked his character publicly. I would ask myself whether getting back at the guy was worth risking my life or peace of mind. I don't think it has much to do with revealing info that the public needs to know, if she might believe that, because the public already knows the essence of his character and behaviors. I would just prefer to remain quiet about my past marriage and to live out my days with dignity. She could convey much without saying much. Let his karma play out for him.

This is unlikely to end Newt's run. He is so flawed in so many ways. But Romney really doesn't stand for anything and the elite are terrified of Ron Paul. Santorum is just an insane comic-book villain.

On his campaign website, he denies the much-retold story that he served his first wife divorce papers in the hospital where she had just had cancer surgery.

“It was (Jackie Battley) that requested the divorce, not Newt, and it was months before the hospital visit in question,” the campaign website says.

But newly revealed 30-year-old court papers posted on CNN’s website appear to contradict that.

In the papers, Battley asks the judge to reject her husband’s request for a divorce.

A confidant of the former House speaker also told CNN that Gingrich said he dumped Jackie Battley — his one-time high school geometry teacher — in 1980 because she wasn’t “young enough or pretty enough” to be First Lady.
