TORNADO WATCH TENNESSEE VALLEY
[link to www.theweatherspace.com]

Location: North MS to West-Central to Central Tennessee.

There was no tornado watch with that event, being these tornadoes are short-lived and do not develop like what you would call tornadoes. These developed off the edges of straightline wind paths, which cause mini-vorticies within the squalline event.

Such the case looks to happen on Friday night and into Early Saturday morning across mainly the state of Tennessee. If trends continue, we may need to put a TWS Tornado Watch in the area for overnight Friday.

Thanks for the heads up. It's sort of spooky quiet here right now.

If you are going to post news on the sun you should learn about it before you post articles. You are labeling yesterdays CORONAL MASS EJECTION as a solar flare, and you are saying yesterdays CORONAL MASS EJECTION is hitting tonight, when its the CORONAL MASS EJECTION from the 16th, the forecast track you have erroneously labeled "WARNING SOLAR FLARE" even says the same thing.

No, read his website he doesn't even know the difference between a CME and a flare, trys to give the CME a classification (which they do not have) and is ignoring the CME from the 16th due to hit us tonight and the one from yesterday is still on track for tomorrow, according to both the website he cited and the forecast track he slapped "INCOMING SOLAR FLARE" on.

I did not write that article on the CME but have corrected what was meant.

Update by KMartin 1/20/2012 2:00 p.m. PT

The arrival is tonight, but the bulk of it occurs over the weekend so skywatchers across the world will have plenty of time to see the aurora -

The start of the effects happens tonight.

No. First off a CME is different than a flare. The flare is over with. There were TWO CORONAL MASS EJECTIONS the first of which is supposed to hit us tonight, the second of which tomorrow, this is not a four day event from a solar flare yesterday.

Five minutes would tell you that.

Again, I know the difference between a CME and Solar Flare and am not the publisher for one of my writer's work. 25% of articles on TWS are written by me and only the weather section. I do not handle other topics.

Then don't advertise a site posting information you are admitting is false. If you are able to edit it and you knew the difference it should never have gotten past you and it is wrong on every claim it tries to make.

Even your edit is wrong. There are two coronal mass ejections, this is not a four day flare event.

So your writers posted that a CME is a flare. They posted that todays CME is hitting when its the one from the 16th, and you are posting the effects of tonights hit in relation to tomorrows in your edit.

I think you need someone to tell you how to run it as every single fact is wrong and you don't even seem to know the difference.

Re: TORNADO WATCH TENNESSEE VALLEY
Within the next hour it will be decided whether we need to get a TWS Tornado Watch out for the Tennessee Valley overnight tonight or not. If you are in that area, the article on TWS on the event posted last night is what we are looking at here.

I'll be looking into this within the next 30 minutes and making a decision. If you are in the Tennessee Valley, pay attention to the latest forecasts around you and have your NOAA Weather Radios handy as this is a night event, which can catch you off guard.

Re: TORNADO WATCH TENNESSEE VALLEY
TheWeatherSpace.com has issued a Tornado Watch for the Tennessee Valley starting tonight and lasting into Saturday morning.

TWS Tornado Watch 002 was issued at 9:50 p.m. Eastern Time and goes on for the next 12 hours, lasting through the night and through Saturday morning. The watch box outlines areas in West Central Tennessee, eastward through the state. The box also outlines the northern portions of Mississippi and Alabama.

With these thunderstorms developing, a strong low level jet will be present along the front. This will be just enough to enhance the lower levels. Although instability is semi-weak, strong shear values support damaging winds, with embedded supercells and even tornadoes.

People in the watch box outline should have their NOAA Weather Radios handy should any other product from them be issued, including their tornado watch or tornado warnings.

I'm in Maury County (1000ft alt) and reading a meaty 98% humidity level with the barometric pressure at 29.62 and falling from 29.77 -12 hrs ago. Wind from the sw is 5 mph with a peak of 12 mph.

Data taken from my meager system.
