it's jungle/drum n bass for lazy bastards and soulless chavs who never knew how to lose it on the dancefloor, created by the same chavs in their bedrooms on 8bit tech, and it really is crap.

99% of Dubstep is basically an LFO, with a detuned oscillator playing three notes over a drum beat.

Its not awesome its shit. Boybands have more talent, and thats whats fucking scary.

Music's last creative stand was back in the 1980s. From there it has been a slow drop into the black hole of "we have run out of creative ideas for NEW stuff" and writers can't seem to "hit it" anymore. I'm 62 and dubstep, like any other creative musical expressions, either hits a creative moment, or, it doesn't. Personally, I love this clip below, but later attempts to move forward creatively just don't make it.

It's like, some weak carbon copy commercial pop beats had a conjugal visit with some whack ass Euro techo, and dubstep was the child they had.

The same way white folks clown hip hop, black folks clown dubstep.

Dubstep is what people in the past imagined the music of the future to sound like.

I'm hoping dubstep is the new punk, what i mean by that is, its something that deconstructs all the awful commercial music that it itself a response too, maybe post dubstep will actually be worth listening to in 5 or 10 years time.

It's an intresting but largely subjective read, as someone who's been into the scene since that start I find myself disagreeing with a lot of it, but there's some good points.

Music thats not created by musicians playing instruments is horrible stuff. It can only be appriciated by those with very low intelligence and conciousness, and I imagine it helps to have absolutely no attention span either.

1. Define Musicians.

2. Define Instrument.

3. Realize your full of shit and STFU.

Oh god....dubstep is sooo awful.
No talent ass-clowns that can't play instruments. Computer music shows laziness. People forget that "synthesized" sounds in computers had to originate with a real noise from an instrument or other real object. Why not show actual talent by making the noises with real instruments.

Talent:
