I thought someone said they were swimming in oil? 1 John 1–3._ 1Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. @Starknight921 |

Seems you are lack of a good thick History book to learn who were there when and how who come before and after and which UN resolutions were taken then & before. Too much work isnt it? Some people need to be hit with a big fat history book upside the head! |

Quoting: ~GAIA~ The brave Argentinians kicked the British in 2 wars 2 centuries ago...still hurts isnt it? You are talking nonsense. Go and read some of Charles Darwins books, the ship he was on the HMS Beagle stopped at those islands whilst they were a British colony, way before he even went to the Galapagos which are on the other side of South America. Back in something like the 1820's Argentina doesn't even have a claim. Nobody lived on those islands when the British settled them, and Argentina didn't exist. They were only interested in them when they found out about the oil and thought they could take them. They brought it up with the UN and the UN LAUGHED it out, They have no claim at all. ^^ This. Maybe you Brits will need to go kick some Argie ass again, eh? I can't imagine they have much fight in them considering they're still recovering from economic collapse. I was kid when the first war happened but to this day I still remember hearing about that epic Vulcan bombing run to crater the runway at Stanley... talk about sending a message: "we can fly here from thousands of miles away and hit you with impunity, and we are coming..." they had german u-boats but incompetent crew... if the knew what their doing some british ships would be no more. maybe they learnd something now... |

Baba Cha User ID: 8934287 Australia 01/20/2012 07:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Because of defense budget cuts, the UK would have a serious problem defending these islands like they did in '82. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8158935 It's all about O.I.L, fisheries, etc. ... Why is Argentina so obsessed about some tiny, barren islands? The French own some small islands off the coast of Canada, and the Canadians aren't threatening war with France LOL... Argentine 'leadership' are trying to divert attention and create some good, old fashion patriotism [nationalism] for the usual reasons. Likewise, the Brits will use patriotism [nationalism] fervor for the usual reasons, but ultimately it's about O.I.L. Why is Britain so obsessed about some tiny, barren islands? Probably because british people lived on those islands BEFORE ARGENTINA EXISTED as a NATION. It being a FORMER SPANISH COLONY that gained independence and all. ARGENTINA WANTS THEM FOR ECONOMIC REASONS, IE THE OIL, NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY LEGITIMATE CLAIM. Its basically an attack on British territory. nope, Spanish were there massacrating the original natives which were Indians...British come AFTER that to take a portion of the cake. The brave Argentinians kicked the British in 2 wars 2 centuries ago...still hurts isnt it? The Islands were uninhabited prior to Europen arrival, no indegenous masacre took place.. It was only through the Spanish and English killing off over ninety percent of the indigenous populations of South America were they able to claim such sovereignty. Should one wonder whose patriotism is more justified? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 9143205 United Kingdom 01/20/2012 08:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The fact is... the people of the Falklands are British, they want to remain British, the Falklands have been a British Overseas Territory for over 180 years... If the Argentinians want the Falklands, they must know the island is defended, we defended it once and we will do it again. NOW if the people of the Falklands DIDNT want to be BRITISH, then we should negotiate with argentina, fortunately they DONT want to be argentina... |
The Voice of Reason User ID: 1433214 Canada 01/20/2012 08:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Oh my, same old, same old! The Falklands are British and always will be....Any potential attack from Argentina; we could easily respond with cruise missiles on Argentine soil....Come on Argentina, get real! We will defend the right's of the Falkland Islanders to choose their own path. As for the comments from our Israel and US viewers, it's none of you're business; it's nothing to do with you! Good night..Former British Soldier |

Worry less about the UK and more about your own country i mean u have been ever so nice to the Palestinians eh. As for the Falklands the islanders want UK government its their choice not yours mine or the argies. The argies only want it for the oil and yes we only want to keep it for the same reason does that really matter though the islanders have spoken. And what the hell have you been taking two wars two centuries ago go back to school and learn history before you make nonsense posts you dumb bint. P.s. I am guessing you got fucked and fucked off by a brit and your still sore lol |
